    AddOn guide - Grid

    Grid Guide by Neniz

    Grid

"Grid is a modular, lightweight and screen-estate saving grid of party/raid unit frames based on Ace2 and various embedded libraries provided by the Ace-community."- taken from Curse.

The cool thing about Grid is that
    • - It compact and makes it really easy to heal with.
    • - It tells your what dispellable debuffs a raid member have.
    • - It's super customizable, you can do almost anything with it.

    Lets get started!

    Grid>Frame

    Show tooltip (Drop Down):
Turn on/off tooltip when you hover over a raid member in grid.

    Center text length (Bar):
The length of a raid members name in grid.

    Invert Bar Colour (Box):
When you loose health and the bar on Grid is dropping it will show a lighter background (By defalut). This option inverts those colours.

    Healing Bar Opacity (Bar):
When healing a raid member grid will show the incoming amount of heal and how much of the grid bar it will heal up. (it also show other members heals on your target). This option lets you toggle the visabilty of the in comming heal bar. 1 is the same colour as the normal bar, 0 is invisible. 0.5 is default.

    Grid>Frame>Border

This is the thin line around a raid member. You can try target your self and it will show a white line around the target. In the border menu you can choose what you want grid to show you on the border. (default is target, low health, low mana.) you can choose as meny as you like, but the more you choose the more colours you will have to remember, plus ther is only 1 border so it can only show 1 thing.

    Grid>Frame>Healing Bar

This is the bar i was talking about in "Healing Bar Opacity (bar)" in Grid>Frame. I advise you to just have this showing incoming heals.

    Grid>Frame>Center Text

Center text is a text overwriting the name on the raid member. If you try to heal your self you see a +5k. Default is death, ghost, incoming heals, health desifit, disconnected & Feign Death.

    Grid>Frame>Center Icon

This is a icon poping up if a raid member is getting a debuff. It show the icon of the spell so you can identify it.

    Grid>Frame>Top Left Cornor
This is a small square in the top left cornor of a raid members unitframe. By default it's set on aggro alert. You can try aggro a mob and see you getting the red square.

    Grid>Frame>Top Right Cornor
Same as before just to the right. this is also set on debuffs as Center Icon, But this just show colours: (magic, curse, poison, desease). So now you can choose to change eaither Center Icon or Top Right Cornor. I would advise you to keep Center Icon and use top left for something else because Center Icon shows both the colour so you easily can see what kind of debuff it is but it also shows the spell icon so you easily can see what debuff it is.

    Grid>Frame>Buttom Left Cornor

This is set to Incomming Heals as the "incomming heals bar". This is rather useless so feel free to change it to something more usefull.

    Grid>Frame>Buttom Right Cornor

This Option have no default. I, as priest, use this one for Renew to see who have my hot and who dosn't. But its up to you.

    Grid>Frame>Frame Alpha

This is not the colour on the frame itself. By default it's set to show Death, and Range. Meaning if your more than 40 yards away from the raid member his name will turn grey warning you that you cant heal him. It also turns grey if a player dies.

    Grid>Frame>Advanced

Enable Center Text 2 Indicator (box):
This will enable a new Center Text so you now have 2. this will alow you to see 2 informations at once or have all options on one bar and have the name show all the time. You can change the Center Text 2 Indicator options at Grid>Frame>Center Text 2

Enable Health Bar Colour Indicator (box):
Normaly the health bar is the colour of the class. By enabling this and chooseing the box, for example, Incoming heals, the whole bar will change colour to green. You can change the options for Health Bar Colour Indicator at Grid>Frame>Health Bar Colour

    Icon Border Size (Bar):

Regulates the size of the Center Icons border.

    Icon Size (Bar):
Regulates the size of the Center Icon.

    Enable Icon cooldown Frame (box):
I have not yet come across what this does. Please let me know

    Enable Icon stack text (Box):
This will enable you to see how meny stacks of a debuff a raid member have. For example a rogues Wound Poison stacks up. this will let you know if there is 1, 2, 3 ect.

    Enable Mouseover Highlight (Box):

This enable the highligh on a raid members unit frame when you hold the mouse over them.

    Cornor Size (Bar):
Let you contole the size of the squares in the four cornors of the unit frame.

    Font (Drop Down):
    Lets you choose your Font.

    Font Size (Bar):
    Size of the Font.

    Frame height (Bar):
    Height of the unit frame.

    Frame Texture (Drop Down):
Lets you choose the texture of the unit frames.

    Frame Width (Bar):
    Width of the unit frame.

    Orientasion of Frame (Drop Down):
Vertical, default, lets the hp drop from up to down when a raid member takes damage. Horizontal lets the hp go from right to left when a raid member takes damage.

    Orientasion of Text (Drop Down):
This you wont really notice unless you have Center Text 2 enabled. Vertical the two texts is on top of each other like this =
Horizontal the two texts is be sides yeah other like this - -

This covers the Grid>Frame part, and it is all i will write today i will conteniue with the Layout part later this week.

I hope this helps people to get the maximum out of their Grid.

This took quite some time so please come with some constructive comments/tips

    *Update 1* changed colours
