Beat Valiants/Champions in Argent Tournament easy

I found a tactic im using all the time and it works with every NPC oponent in Argent tournament.

    • First off, stack up on shield (duuh)
    • Start the fight.
    • Smash opponent with your lance.
    • When your opponent rides away from you, back up alittle and fire shieldbreak
    • Then back alittle more (not so much so you cant charge).
    • Then charge. Your opponent will maybe just get 1 shieldbreak on you, but you will two of his shields.
    • Attack normally again while trying to hold your shield at 3 stacks.
    • Rinse and repeat.

Like i said, I use this tactic ALL the time, and almost never loose. Not even against champions. GL HF.

That's what I usually did (I am doing argent tournament everyday on two toons):
    1. 3 Shields up
    2. Talk to NPC
    3. Smash "1" when NPC run to position
    4. Smash "1" if NPC has 1 shield left
    5. If NPC has > 1 shield left, run forward for a reasonable distance that NPC wont charge, turn and press "2" (Shield Break)
    6. When NPC runs away, DONT shield break, just smash "3" so you just charge him as soon as possible. It shouldn't have much defend up if you do step 5 correctly.
    7. Press "4" (Defend) whenever it is up.

It kills faster than wait for it run away to shield break method for me (consider I have to kill 6 of those bastards per day and I won't spend 60 mins to do them all)

If you're handy with a mouse I find that running circles around the NPC while firing Shield Break till they are down to one shield then charging works really well.

Rinse and repeat, if you get them down to no shields, throw in a few normal attacks.

What Macho does with the added shield break post charge (When you're swinging around) will keep them at 0 or 1 shield at all times. Besides that difference I do the same thing, works awesome. Never ever loose, for the easy ones don't even have to heal between them, for the hard ones only need to heal for every other one.

I do a combination of all of what has already been posted, but here are the steps I take:

    1. 3 shields up
    2. Talk to NPC, start fight.
    3. Hit "1" as the NPC is running into position. Do not close the distance
    4. Hit "2" as soon as the GCD is off and close distance between you and the NPC. If you do this right you would have hit the NPC with your lance and a shield smash before they could even do anything.
    5. While in melee range strafe to either the left or right until you can you use "2", hit it then quickly close the the distance.
    6. (Same as Macho) When the NPC runs off walk backwards to get into shield breaker distance faster and hit "2". Now hit "3" and charge the NPC then quickly turn and hit them with a shield breaker and close the distance. Doing this correctly the NPC might only hit you with a shield breaker which you can easily buff back to 3 stacks. If you feel you're too late to do this then just quickly charge then shield break after.

I've done these steps all the time and makes the mounted combats easy and entertaining to do

I don't get the whole use lance first :S
and I don't even see how beating these can't be common sense :P

    Use the simple 3 stacks
Engage in fight from behind and use Shield Breaker right away
Run right through the opponent and lance
Use Shield Breaker until no more shields is up and use charge
    Repeat from top

Also keep within range of shield breaker of opponent right until the you use Charge or shield breaker yourself, that way they can never remove yours.

    Personally I do this
    1: Shields stacked
    2: Engage/back up
3: Charge, stab, spin, shield breaker
4: get back in melee range and stab/shield at the same time
    5: Rinse and repeat.

In general if they get your shields low, try and stay in melee range and keepy stabbing/shielding until you have 2+ shields and can break away and sharge/melee/shield breaker combo again
