Spadoink's Lazy Gold Farming Guide!

Now I searched posts for this but I didn't find anything so I'm going to have some fun with this. Feel free to flame, if its a repost I'll gladly delete.

Now I'm truly a lazy person, but here is a way of making gold by mooching off other people.

Here goes nothing, most guides will tell you storm peaks is an awesome place to farm, you make lots of gold by farming Eternals and Relics of Ulduar, yeap this is all true. They never take into account though that there is always competition, and a struggle between the greedy to make more gold, and the time it takes to actually sell things to other people!

So for the most part I find it easier to farm easy stuff to vendors because it is reliable...
So enough words time for some pictures!

Doesn't matter who kills them, as long as it looks like this ; )



Alright so time to break this down.
If you didn't catch it in the second picture or in the title you need to be a miner. You have two choices
1) Kill when no one is around
2) Go go prime time [usually 2-5pm st (before raiding starts people usually do their dailies)]

What happens is these sexy devils drop these babies:

Now look at the price of that 22.5 s to a vendor, woah cheap right?

It adds up! 20 of these is equal to 4.5g to a vendor...

Now your thinking this guy is stupid, he said lazy way. I do not lie!

When people kill these they have a fast respawn rate, they pull them in bundles and kill them all that way, and they respawn so bodies just pile up.
It takes 3 seconds to mine 1 with auto loot on it auto loots...
60 seconds is in one minute, divided by 3 seconds [per mine] is 20, a theoretical stack per minute... 4.5 g per minute[refering to sell cost of a stack to a vendor] x 60 minutes in an hour is 270 g an hour. subtract about 20 g for time spent moving back and forth and other factors such as the occasional Ganker or accidental pull.

Oh wow 250 g an hour, great great.... only 60 hours till my chopper [refering to the mount] {15000g / 250g = about 60}

Um I said do this on your bored time when theres nothing better to, Oh well get pissed. makes me giggle inside like a newborn baby. There are other places to farm so shoo shoo if you don't like.

I mean c'mon you didn't have to kill anything yourself, while your making gold off others kills, mining corpses, more people around you are producing more corpses!

Let's go deeper into the + in gold per hour shall we? =D

When you mine:


Thats about 1000 -1200 mines in that hour, that number of mines is also equal to number of corpses, those corpses also have a 7% [according to wowhead] although I experience 1:5 ratio of getting crystalized earth.
Again Theory comes into play 1000/5= 200 ~ 1200/5= 240 [assuming that only one crystalized earth drops per 5 mobs*chance for up to three though*] so you can get around a stack + of eternal earths an hour, depends on you. And for most servers now you have jc's doing this

So you can either personally use the earth's yourself or sell them for the potential of 6-8g per [120-160g per stack].
As I said that was theory, they usually drop 1-3 so you can make even more =P

well in ways it does, cause it isn't as fast as other ways to farm, i just do this when i get pissed and everyone keeps trying to undercut me in trade. easy source of gold though

in your calculation you dont include the traveling time wich sometimes is longer then 3 sec. also its 3sec to mine it then another 1sec to loot it, even with autoloot on, so that reduces it to 15 a min IF you can find 15 corpses ontop of each other wich is higly unlikely

I've also failed to mention that I'm a dk and for the most part I run around with unholy presence to do it so I get places faster, but usually bodies are piled on top of each other, because the more people killing them there the faster they respawn and which means there are more around to kill
