Extra gold while leveling

I'm sure a lot of you already know about this but I'm here to tell the ones that don't. I'm sure there have been a lot of times while leveling when you don't really need any of the offered quest rewards. Well instead of just picking anything for vendor, I'll show you how to make extra gold from quest rewards like these.

You need the AddOn Auctioneer: Download here

Why Auctioneer? It gives you detailed info about the item, more importantly, how much it sells to at a vendor.



Above you can see how much the item will sell to a vendor. When you are picking a reward from a quest that isn't needed, check to see which one sells the most and choose that. You could be choosing items that sell for 2g when there are other selections that sell for more then the quest even rewards.



I have only quested really from 60 to 72 at this point. I did RaF before hand so all this gold was made between 60-72. And a HUGE chunk of that is made from selling the greens.

You'd actually be surprised, but plate isn't always the way to go.
For example, quest Ebon Blade Prisoners - Quest - World of Warcraft
The mail chest sells for 1g+ more than the plate shoulders.
Another example: But First My Offspring - Quest - World of Warcraft
The trinket sells for 10 silver more than the plate helm.

I realize this isn't very significant but you see my point

Oh, and a sidenote for those that don't like bloated addons (Auctioneer in this case). Give ItemPriceTooltip - Addons - Curse
a shot, it's simple and lightweight and does just that - show you the vendor value for the item.

Doing this is a mistake. Thats why I posted this guide. Your guessing at which sells for more. Plate boots will not sell as well as mail chest.

With this you can get an EXACT amount.

Seriously no need to flame. Anything you already know about will seem like common sense to you.. With like 400,000 users here, it's next to impossible to make a guide that not one person already knew about in some form.
