How to not get banned with Powerleveling or Renting

    Hello mmowned,
Well this came to me after I went on holiday around the world but I took my laptop with me(I dident use PowerLeveling or anything game illegal) and played the odd time but one day I get an email saying that I was power leveling and got banned as you can imagine I was a bit  . Well anyway I did the usual webform and one of the questions was what was the basis of this and Blizzard said Multiple Ip addresses.

So what I thought is before the powerleveling say to a GM im going on a world trip around the world and you will be playing abroad and is that ok? stuff like tht (I know the answers yes its ok but.....)anyway then if you do get banned, they will have the log of you saying about your trip around the world and will be forced to unban you.Ive only tried this once and with my m8s account but it worked . so good luck with your renting and power leveling

Remember:This is just a backup this isnt going to work if someone in china logs in then 10 minutes later you log in Europe

Well, technically I'm sure having someone else do ALL the work for you is easier...

I got banned when I powerlevelled 2 accounts (RaF "package") and I just said that I was on a work trip and just got back, logged on and was banned instantly. So they "reviewed" the case and they unbanned both accounts.

Not quite sure if it's possible to travel from China back home in one day, but hey, I'm not complaining!

Question: Can u see by someones ip adress what country they are from? (Because I think that's impossible, so they couldnt check if ur going to china in one day as Tyrune said :P)
and i just want to state that one of my accounts has been played on by 3 different ip's for 2 years straight now. Never had any GM talk to me 'bout that .

As a normal person, I can track IPs down to a km radius, using Google to find a tool to do that. I think blizzard actually can find out which house you play from. if not using proxxy ofc

Good write up but it wont always work because of one simple reason.

An account is usually banned because of multiple IPs logging into the account within a short amount of time. Most will think hang on I do this all the time but it is to do with the location of the IP and how long after log out you logged back in with another IP from a different location. So for example if you let someone from China power level on your account and then when they log out you decide to log in from the Uk for example that will flag the account. The reason for this is because you can not travel from China to the Uk in the amount of time it took you to log on.

So my advice would be to carry on using the method posted as well as ensuring you do not log into the account within a set period of time of something like 24hrs for example.

Also it is completely possible to trace an IP address to find out its location. There are many free websites out there that allow you to do this providing you have already obtained the IP, Blizzard will already have the IPs to check as they are logged.

think of it this way if ur online playing and the PL company gets on ur acc and u were loged in say in america and there in japan im sure blizz knos u can go from america to japan in a matter of seconds >.>

to sum this up it wont work if there loging in on to short of time frams u gota add in times like how long it taks to go one place to another see
