Guide to Clique & Grid Healing

So here you are, wondering how to up your Healing per Second during raids. Well, the answer is right in front of you, based on 2 simple add-ons and I’ll help you out setting them up and using them.

1. We need to download and install the 2 add-ons “Grid” and “Clique” that you can find here:
Grid - Addons - Curse
Clique : WoWInterface Downloads : Unit Mods

2. With that done we can now start setting up our add-ons in-game. Make sure both of your add-ons is installed and working (Check the add-on list)

3. Press “P” or open you spell book manually through the in game menu in the bottom of your screen.

4. You will now see that a new icon has appeared on your Spell books side, looking like a bunny. Press it.

5. A black box will now appear and this is where you will configure the spell’s keybindings for your mouse. Now press the tab and find your healing spell you want to bind. With the black box open mouse over your desired spell and click it with that button you want it bound to, GRATZ you just bounded your first spell!

6. Go through step 5 for all your healing spells.

7. Click “Frames” in the button of the black box and click off everything but the GridLayout… , this is making sure you can still right click your target to /inspect and so on.

8. Now let’s setup Grid to improve the use of it during Naxxramas Kel’Tuzad fight as an example to use the status aura option. Type “/grid config” in the chat to open the options for grid.

9. Click on “Layout” and set the Raid Layout to your desired raid size, I usually use the “By Group 25”, you probably also want to turn down the scale depending on your resolution.

10. Click on the “+” in front of Status and then click on “Aura” now press the empty box and type in “Frost Blast” (The ice cube Kel’Tuzad does on a random raid member) and press enter.

11. Now click the “+” in front of Frame and click on “Center Icon”, make sure “Debuff: Frost Blast” is checked and close down the options again.

12. You’re now ready to go for your very first raid with Grid and Clique! All you do is move your mouse over the target on low health on grid, and press the button you bound in Clique to cast the spell at that target.

I was using Healbot before, but when i realised i could track debuffs with Grid it made my day back the times of Sunwell on twins Now i basicly track every single debuff bosses can do. Allmost DOUBLED my healing during sunwell going to theese 2 addons

Im going to +Repx3, but just wondering, can you plz post a picture of how you have your UI set up, im just curious where you have everything located for ease of access?

I am a healer who uses Grid and Clique, along with an assortment of well-scripted macros, and I am ALWAYS on top of the healing meters. While I would argue that Healbot has some limits and is generally not the best setup for a healer, Grid and Clique are very amazing, powerful add-ons that do what the Blizzard Frames and Blizzard Macros cannot.

Thank you for posting this, but I wish it was a bit longer and consisted of some images to help with setting up Grid, which can be daunting for new users.

I didnt say heal without addons.. Using both clique and grid wrecks the game. Makes it insanely easy to heal, but then they have no raid awareness whatsoever. That's my first point.

Healbot i have always been against, however now that it had to be changed to fit with the ToS it's not a bad addon. (I still dislike healers who use it. Seriously is it that hard to work out healing?)

I use Grid for healing. I also use visual heal, as well as other addons shared amoungst raid healers in my guild.

All i was trying to say with my post is that there are much better ways to improve your healing. And that if you get in the sway of these addons, chances are your raid awareness and ability to cope in emergency situations will diminish.

I find Healbot with the curses, diseases, and poisons showing is just as good as decursing with grid. Overall I prefer Healbot because of the design and UI choices that are available with Healbot.

Could you people stop having an e-peen problem. I dont care if you want to fight over it, but do you have to do it in his thread? By the way op, if you post some images of how you have your UI set up, ill +3 rep you everyday for the next 3days.

Edit: Btw i dont use any add ons for healing, mainly because i tried some and couldnt get used to it. I am usualy top in my guild on 10 mans, but 3-4 in 25mans, so i would like to start using addons, so any screenshots would surely help me.
