[Frost Mage] Deep Freeze / Ice lance mass DPS

I searched for this but I didn't find anything...just other deep freeze things. (There is one about the frostbolt / spam Deep Freeze but i didn't think this was a repost. Sorry if it is)

Anyway, Every frost mage knows Deep Freeze and its 5 second frozen stun. well i was bored and saw a pally (13k hp) ((ya im not lvl 80 *GASP* only 71))

Begin the fight:
Summon elemental
Start casting frostbolt and just before it casts. Use the elemental's freeze spell and after frostbolt is cast. Spam the crap out of Deep freeze.
(BUT you may want to cast another ice lance because freeze will stay have about 6 seconds left. NOTE: Lance may break the freeze)
This will Freeze them for 5 more seconds (yay)
Cast ice lance TWICE. ONLY TWICE. (if they dont trinket out of this) pop cold snap and re-deep freeze (SPAMMING NEEDED HERE!) (macro if no global CD?)
Use Ice lance as many times as you can get off before it ends. (Ice lance can do more damage here than casting frost bolt then using ice lance)
Target will be atleast close to death. So just use Fireblast or other instant / Quick casts.

I did about 12k by the end of this barrage to the pally and then just fire blasted him once.


(GUESS): at level 80 and mirror image, you should be able to completely obliterate them with this. (hopes for no trinkets)

Ya so you can shatter combo it...but since Deep freeze has an odd 5 second freeze...you will be able to get more ice lance DPS off than doing frostbolt then ice lance

Well, to be more honest, 99.99% of all people who are ABOVE 1200 rating in any arena team knows about this... ;D


But yeah, dude, great find.
Well, what most people didn't think of is that you actually do a 2x Double Shatter Combo. Since it's not just a Freeze-FB-Ice Lance, it's a 2x double, since you do 2x Deep Freezes. So it is smarter than what 99.99% of all the people that posted here thought.


For the sake of argument, lets say that our Frost Bolt will crit 5k and our Ice Lance 3k.

Shatter Combo:
Frost Nova - Frostbolt - Ice Lance. 5+3=8k damage dealt.

Double Shatter Combo:
Frost Nova - Frost Bolt - Ice Lance - Ice Lance. 5+3+3=11k damage dealt.
(Must be done at a far distance and with loads of haste.)

The Shatter Combo this guide is teaching us:
Frost Nova - Deep Freeze - Ice Lance - Ice Lance - Deep Freeze - Ice Lance - Ice Lance. 3+3+3+3=12k damage dealt. +frozen target for 7.5 seconds.

And, the target is just not frozen to the ground, he is also stunned, so he can't cast anything back.



People, before you read a post and say the person is stupid, READ the WHOLE post first...
It's not just a Shatter Combo. It's a 2x DOUBLE SHATTER COMBO DE-LUXE, WITH COOLWHIP!

Frost nova, then frost bolt. Right after your frost bolt spam deep freeze then Icy Veins if you can, then icelance (Icy veins lowers the GcD).

Any mage that is 60+ should know about this. Surprised at 71, he had no idea

Well i think most of wowplayers heard of shattercomb, but coldsnapping the first deepfreeze for a second one isnt common sense to most players i think.
Maybe a realy nice find to some Mages.

deepfreeze is a stun and has a DR, so coldsnap won't help you much. common sense.

Ok i know there are a lot of tards in wow, but i meant normal peaple you actually can play with.

Not like my buddy who fished in org instead of joining the arena in tbc. And now in wotlk he somehow managed to join my guild were he afked on sapphiron and wiped my guild twice on kt in just one guild run.

Hes defineiately not one of the sharpest guys in wow
