[EPIC] Frost Mage "Deep Freeze" Exploit

I was in the battlegrounds testing out the new mage skill and fell in love with the deep freeze. For those of you who don't know:

Stuns the target for 5 sec. Only usable on Frozen targets.
9% of base mana, 30 yd range, Instant cast, 30 sec cooldown
This is only supposed to work on people who are novad to the ground. I found out however that you can stun SOMEONE WHO IS NOT NOVAD by clicking on a frozen target and QUICKLY pressing your 'target nearest opponent hotkey' + Deep Freeze. This will target your nearest opponent and automatically stun them. I tried making a macro for it but successfully failed.

Select frozen character then press hotkey + deep frezee = stun

Tested and working. I had a bunch of fun stunning people who weren't novad. I am gonna try this in arena soon and see how it goes.

    Peace.
    Life long and prosper

I think this macro should cover it if this indeed works:
    Code:
    #showtooltip Deep Freeze
    /targetenemy
    /cast Deep Freeze

Reminds me of the old Shadowstep bug, the spell casting on target rather than who it should be, nice find.

More than likely you had a Fingers of Frost proc when that happened. When Fingers of Frost - Spell - World of Warcraft procs you can Deep Freeze anyone.

I think rabb4466 was right. Mages have that talent that make your next 2 spell casts considered as if the target was frozen(icelance anyone?) but also seeing as its next spell cast in generality, not on your last target, you are able to cast deep freeze (5 sec stun) on people who are not frozen yet. I don't believe it's an exploit but a little bit of an adrenaline rush on his part thinking it was ^^

Played a mage on wrath beta and it does make sense sorta XD correct me if we're wrong.
