AoE fire grinding

Ok i searched and didn't find a guide about AoE fire grinding with a mage so here it goes.


Fire aoe grinding can be compared to frost AoEing and both are great, i prefer fire because its faster for me but everyone has their personal opinion.

that's my pretty basic layout and it works well, i can do usually 2-4 pulls before going oom or losing health, with frost i can only do a maximum of 2-3.


Gameplay/strat
Youll want to start on your mount with mana shield optional, pull the mobs and group them to a small cluster than frost nova, straf away or blink and cast flamestrike. as they run to you cast a dragons breathe than instant cast flamestrike and usually finish it off with 1-3 arcane explosions a blast wave or just another flamestrike.


Glyphs
Youll want the blast wave glyph to remove the knockback from it so you can cast it than right after do flamestrike

Vs Frost opinion
Against Frost AoEing in the beginning you will most likely be really bad with it and die more than not, but after you get the swing of it you can take down bigg mobs faster than the standard frost nova, CoC, Blizzard.

its a nice try but tbh for AoE grinding frost is far superior due higher survivability cuz of the frost armor + mana shield and the water elemental wich can range nova them while you are in the block so u dont need to frostnova and can get quickly out of big packs. but for everyone there own style i gues.

If i were you i would get some screenies or even better in action vids. i kno there are allot to find on youtube but if you try to make a guide atleast give some indepth info.

And for a tactic i did try aoe grinding with fire meself what i found working nice was the following

1 get group round them up
2 When they are clustered Dragons breath this will dissorient them allowing you to do youre flamestrike.
3 blastwave straight after (expecting you got glyph of blastwave wich removes the knockback) followed by another flamestrike
4 frostnova and get outa there

this killed it near always for me if not i could do blizzard to finnish of the last struglers.

gtfo. only 1 post even tho you are member for over a year. True it might not be as good as i expected but atleast snowman gives it a good try to contribute atleast something. im sure that the next contributions will be much better if he works it out a bit better and makes more use of media.

You've been playing a mage for two years, so of course it is going to be common knowledge to you but some may not know. And assuming that everyone knows because you know is just... stupid.

ive played a mage for....about 2 years...when I was leveling, I did not know this...untill I saw someone else doing it and was like WHOAH!!! hes killing stuff way faster then me.....but if youve been playing a mage for 2 years....your clearly alrdy highest lvl possible....assuming thats 80 if you got WOTLK.... SO, this could be useless for you and you already know it but people who are still leveling their mage might not..........

If you read the patch notes and new the game you where playing you would know Fire got a hella good AoE talents... If you are aware of the game, everything on MMowned won't be to much help. All the help i've gotten is the seasonal help.. but yeah, it may be help for someone.
