Instead of going into a major city or an inn, you can get on a flight, (gryphon, etc, not flying mount.) and while you're flying you can instantly logout.

and as bisbolo said, flight paths are near Inns...and I would rather go into the inn then have to fly back when I log back in.

Yes, and if you're flagged for pvp and take a flight path, your flag gets dropped. It's really common knowledge for most. :/

Along with what everyone said, it would also take you longer to fly ANYWHERE, than to wait 20 seconds to log out.
