A guide to getting the Reins of the White Polar Bear - Item - World of Warcraft from the Hyldnir Spoils - Item - World of Warcraft. The dailys can be picked up here (Maps - World of Warcraft) after you complete the quest chain to unlock them, which is the same as the Sons of Hodir chain to unlock that.
This mount comes from 4 possible dailys, Back to the Pit - Quest - World of Warcraft, Defending Your Title - Quest - World of Warcraft, Maintaining Discipline - Quest - World of Warcraft, and The Aberrations Must Die - Quest - World of Warcraft. All of these quests are fairly easy and do not take much time to complete, as you only receive two of these quests a day that are randomly picked, however it seems like The Aberrations Must Die is always there on my server.
Back to the Pit:
This quest requires you to mount the Reins of the Icemaw Matriarch - Item - World of Warcraft which is provided to you for the quest and slay six Hyldsmeet Warbear - NPC - World of Warcraft, which are found battling in the pit in the center of town. Which can be seen on this map Maps - World of Warcraft. The easiest way to defeat them is to pick one within the health range to still give you kill credit due to the NPCs fighting them also. Hit 1 for the Auto attack, then use 4 (their maul like ability), 5 (Does a knock back ability), and 6 (A charge that also stuns). It is a good idea to use the knock back when the charge is off cool down so you can stun them and no longer take damage until the stun wears off.
Defending Your Title:
This daily requires you to slay six Victorious Challenger - NPC - World of Warcraft , which are also found in town, they are the NPCs standing around observing the other NPCs dueling. They are fairly easy with only about 12.5k health, but they have a very annoying Shield Slam - Spell - World of Warcraft move which they tend to use quite a lot.
Maintaining Discipline:
This quest requires you to hit the Exhausted Vrykul - NPC - World of Warcraft in the Forlorn Mine (found here Maps - World of Warcraft ) with the Disciplining Rod - Item - World of Warcraft that is provided for this quest. The Exhausted Vrykul are the ones that are sitting on the ground. Since this daily is usually grouped with The Aberrations Must Die, it is best to enter from the east and clear them to the west until you reach the outside of the mine again.
The Aberrations Must Die:
This quest is done here ( Maps - World of Warcraft ), and requires you to break 30 Plagued Proto-Drake Egg - Object - World of Warcraft , which are broken by freezing them by throwing a Vial of Frost Oil - Item - World of Warcraft on the ground on top of them. The eggs are found in small groups possibly 1 to up to 7. If you consistently hit groups of 6, which are generally the normal size groups, you only need to collect 5 of the Vial of Frost Oil, which drop from the Valkyrion Aspirant - NPC - World of Warcraft , these NPCs can be found guarding the buildings, two at each door, or patrolling the rode, they also only have about 12.5k health, and since they are grouped up so nicely, it is easy to AoE them down.
In the end of the day you turn the quests back in where you picked them up, open your spoils bag and hope you got the mount, it is a low drop chance and usually you will get some cheese, water, or even some snowballs. Best of luck to all of you trying to get this mount!
