So you wanna PVP?

Typically, with PVP, most players either have it or they don't. You are lucky once in a while to attend a solid group that knows not only WHAT they are doing, but HOW they are doing it. This guide is not going to tell you how to win AV, EOTS, AB, or WSG, but rather, how to play your class instead. There is, of course, no "right" way to play any of the classes, but there are "thousands" of ways "not" to play them. Each class has their own advantage and disadvantage when going 1 on 1 with another player of an equal or lesser/greater class. What I find to be true is with every patch 1 class becomes grossly nerfed, and one class becomes grossly overpowered. I believe that Shamans are the OP class this season, but I digress, there are matters of greater importance at hand. Now I shall continue...

This sounds pretty straightforward, however, many times, we forget our spells, racials, and even soulstones (warlocks can chuckle now, it never fails). Make sure that you are on your toes for this fast-paced game of cat and mouse, because otherwise, you are just taking up valuable space in a battleground. Remember to Shadowmeld, use GOTN, war stomp, anything that you can think of. Sometimes its not about gear as much as strategy. I once fought an undead warlock on my human priest and he could not out DPS me, so I chased him into the water between the blacksmith and the stables and I continued to DOT and heal, I wasn't paying attention and I ended up dying from drowning, he lived because he is was an undead and could survive longer than me. You priests out there know about MC, if you are in EOTS, try to MC an opposing faction off of the ridge in the middle. There are 1000 different strategies that can be utilized during BG's.

Kiters out there know what I am talking about. If you walk backwards, you walk at about a speed of 3.5 which is about half of your normal running speed of 7. You can just as easily, press your strafing buttons, slide the camera to the side, and strafe backwards without losing and speed, and having your enemy gain on you, especially you clothies out there, remember this one, big time.

Don't just try to be superman, do your research, try looking up successfully renowned players, and see what strategies they use to get out of sticky situations, and mimic them. It's not so much a matter of copying moves, as much as they just thought of it first :P See what is working for other people, and implement it into your routine, once you familiarize yourself with the specific PVP pattern, it will become second nature, and you will not longer have any issues regarding that specific situational instance. You should also like to research your respective BG strategies as a class. For instance, if you are a healer, you want to avoid wasting mana on DPS, you want to remain incognito so as not to get killed, and heal your ass off. If you do this, that gives you 1 other person to not only protect you, but protect your flag or players, which then causes a ripple effect. Same with DPS, if you don't keep the attention off of your healers you are a goner. Get in the know about the game.

You may not think that you need these things, and you are right. You don't need them, however, they do give you an edge over the competition. Macros are vital to any class regardless, they help make life a lot easier, and do automatic keystroked patterns for you, with ease. They can blind a target that is already focused on for a rogue, or they can heal a mouseover target for a healer, and they can even feed a pet a specific item without clicking on it. Addons also help you in way more ways than I can type out. These addons will give you an edge over your player by a great and vast amount. Just go to Curse.com and download some, they will just fix your life, not even just in regards to PVP, the game itself, quests, UI and Interface, guild management, etc. Key Bindings are also quite vital, I cannot stress this enough. They can make your life so much easier, the split second that you look down at the keyboard to find out which letter to press for that arcane shot, you can be dead, key bindings throw out that possibility, because you can just take the "C" (Character Sheet) button and replace it with anything that you would like, making it not only an extra attack, but also a resource, being that it is just inches from your trigger finger

Really, that is the best that I can offer in my compendium of knowledge, you have a better feel for your character than anyone else does, however, implement these little tips into your PVP life, you will not be dissapointed. Also, BUBBLE-HEARTHING is for bitches.
Q. I found a good player, and I like the way they play, but I am not sure I am specced correctly.
A. Go to WowArmory, and look up their name, find the character, and go to their talent sheet, mimic their talents there.
Q. I prefer clicking over using my keys, and I always die why is this?
A. Honestly, I understand that it can "look" more convenient to point and click, but I must tell you, you waste valuable seconds doing this, and it is best used in PVE.
Q. Ur a leecher what do you know?
A. Well, I know enough to tell you that there is WAY better to come once my status is lifted, cleaner guides, requests answered, and possibly a graphics shop![]()
