How to Holy priest in WOTLK

Based it in this, but tuned my build to be more usefull for soloing while being viable even more when healing the instances.

Leveling as a Holy Priest in WotLK « A Dwarf Priest

First of all, go to your trainer and learn all the new spells (Devouring Plague, Holy Nova, Hymn of Hope), then get your ass to Dalaran as soon as possible (get the mage 74+ to port you there or just level and get the quest) it'll simplify the most of the doing as there are loads of portals to other capitals and every trainer etc.

Build slightly changed to... Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

With recent chages, the killing blow will be: Holy Fire, SW:P, Devouring Plague, then Smite x2 - x3. SW

I've read some posts which emphasizes the dependancy on races, it mostly doesn't matter anymore. In connection to this, let me think about Glyphs, i personally use Glyph of Flash Heal, Glyph of Smite and Glyph of Renew as they are easily obtainable and for small price they provide huge boost (don't be even shy to start a new DK just for Inscription for use on your priest)

Itemization, and leveling tips (it's not the full guide, leveling should be mostly done by questing as grinding isn't viable for priest)

Level to 71 and take Improved Inner Fire Rank 1
As soon as you get to level 71, run to your trainer and learn the Inner Fire available on level 71 and keep it on yourself all the time. Here you'll be aiming for Mantle of Keristrasza - Item - World of Warcraft, to obtain it, you have to start Puzzling... - Quest - World of Warcraft to get the
Augmented Arcane Prison - Item - World of Warcraft which will summon the Keristrasza, then complete the chain starting with Keristrasza - Quest - World of Warcraft to Prisoner of War - Quest - World of Warcraft.

Also make sure you'll enter the Nexus with Quickening - Quest - World of Warcraft (which starts by Secrets of the Ancients - Quest - World of Warcraft in the camp next to The Nexus).

Once you get these quests, get rolling on the party and kill the Keristrasza and get those pieces from the mobs next to the giant boss.

Also, those are really nifty drops from Nexus (in case you don't have any better):
Wand of Shimmering Scales - Item - World of Warcraft from Grand Magus Telestra in Nexus
Tome of the Lore Keepers - Item - World of Warcraft from Anomalus in Nexus
Attuned Crystalline Boots - Item - World of Warcraft from Keristrasza
Band of Glittering Permafrost - Item - World of Warcraft from Keristrasza

Once you're fed up by running Nexus as a healer, get your ass to Azjol-Nerub.

In case you skipped The Nexus quest, you're up for Exquisite Spider-Silk Footwraps - Item - World of Warcraft from Krik'thir the Gatewatcher, Charmed Silken Cord - Item - World of Warcraft from Anub'arak, and the most awesome thing i've been able to find out yet - Life-Staff of the Web Lair - Item - World of Warcraft from Hadronox.

If you are not 72 yet, it's more than likely to level during the Azjol-Nerub runs. On 72, take Improved Inner Fire Rank 2 talent.

Next in the row, Ahn'Kahet, you aim for the Gloves of the Blood Prince - Item - World of Warcraft from Prince Taldaram there.

If you're questing, make sure you'll do this quest Might As Well Wipe Out the Scourge - Quest - World of Warcraft for Vial of Renewal - Item - World of Warcraft which is on par with badge trinket.

Leveling to 73 might be as well composed from re-running the instances i've mentioned or just some questing...

Once you hit 73, take Improved Inner Fire Rank 3 and head to Drak'Tharon Keep to get the Robes of Novos - Item - World of Warcraft and

Crystal Pendant of Warding - Item - World of Warcraft from Novos the Summoner (in case you doesn't have anything better)

Rest of my guide is theory as i've just leveled to 73, started leveling to 74... I've been able to heal the Violet Hold instance with no problems, didn't get any good drops there though as it's quite a higher grade instance, not to mention that only plate dropped on my run.

I've personally entered WOTLK Beta with T4-like equip and till level 73 there are no trouble with upmentioned build.

That's all, it's possible that i'll be updating this as i continue with leveling.

Hopefully someone will like it as i've finally decided to step out of my leecher status and finally had something to write about.
