Increase your DPS with your trinkets

Hello, this is my first participation in this forum
So don't blame me if it's a repost.

Yesterday, I was playing with my Warlock. I bought "Icon of the Silver Crescent".
Paid attention to :
"Use: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 155 for 20 sec. (2 Min Cooldown)"


I increased my dps when I made a simple macro who use everytime this trinket.

/use Icon of the Silver Crescent
/cast YOURSPELLHERE

When it's "on" I win +155 in spell damage every 2 minutes. When it's "off" there isn't any problem I can continue to spam my spell.
It's very important to remplace your old SpellIcon by your new macro.

With my warlock I'm using "incineration" with the macro.


So if you want to increase your dps, create your own macro with your trinket and your spell (the one you used everytime).

/use Trinket
/cast Spell

I hope you will take this message like a tricks, because I played a long time without using this trinket everytime like when I'm killing a raid boss or when I remember that I had this trinket on me...

This is a good tip for everyone, macros can increase your DPS a ton.

You can visit www arenajunkies com (or google "Arena Junkies") and search for more general and PvP-oriented macros to use as well. Most of them will replace the spell or ability icon already on your hot bars. Just copy and paste it in, make any modifications it says to (names of trinkets, etc) and you're good to go!

You can also use this for spells which don't share the global cooldown, like icy viens. My macro reads

/cast Icy Veins
/use Icon of the Silver Crescent
/cast Fireball

Ok, I will agree that it is common sense, however, most of us do not use it, its nice to have a friendly reminder. Look how everyone else is praising him in this post and you are the lone flamer.

Aka I have hourglass of the unraveller.

some fights you need to save you're trinkets for a certain phase, or if you need to calm down a bit on aggro you wouldnt continue blasting trinkets when you're 2nd from tank.

not like its hard work to watch the cooldown timer ¬_¬
