For some people making gold has an alluring aura of mistery; to tell the truth what makes different a rich wow player from a poor one is mainly their mindset and the skill in acquiring information.
Let me explain what means having the right mindset; I know a lot of people who claim that dailies are unbelievingly good for making gold.. THEY ARE TOTALLY WRONG.
The true essence of dailies is the mindless grinding of repetitive tasks, and that's why they fail at their primary purpose of existance!
Accounting the random greens, cloths and rep tokens, you won't get more than 150gold for each hour you spend on that damned island being ganked by the opposite faction.
Porbably you'll be thinking that maybe I'm right but farming stil sucks..
Follow those three steps and we'll talk about it later:
1)KNOW HOW MUCH IS WORTH YOUR TIME, that's where comes to play the big role your skill in collecting information from sites like this, reading tips from wowhead or looking the ah for deals or overpriced goods to farm; after you found your preferred method of making gold (disenchanting, grinding herbs, minerals, primals, whatever), there's no absolute guarantee it will fit your taste or it will work as intented..
Once you chose your preferred gold method, give it a try and be really careful about how much gold are you doing per hour, in that way you'll be able to determine if that lowbie paying 50g for a boost is worth your time.
Sometimes bad things can happen go to point 2 because:
2)SETTING UP YOUR GOLD METHOD IS A TRIAL AND ERROR PROCESS, don't be upset if suddenly leathers are going for very cheap due to botters or kiddies and you find without any idea and lot of repair bills to pay, gear to enchant and so on.. rest assured that there will be always another market opportunity, it is up to you to be aware of the economy of your realm and exploit it!
3)MANAGE YOUR GOLD CAREFULLY, don't spend it on unuseful items, you earned your gold the hard way, you don't want to waste it without a good purpose or on very risky investments; If you're pursuing your first epic flier just set a planning about farming so you'll know at what point of your schedule are you and how much will take until you have the 5k gold you need![]()
Ok at this point I hope you've found something that works well for you for earning gold, this great community produces a continuous stream of new ideas and you can simply follow many of the very good guides.
If you're now on my same mindset you'll still hate grinding but hopefully you'll spend less time doing it for the same shiny 150gold. Personally earning 200g is a matter of buying mats from the ah and asking some random leatherworker to craft an armor kit that I'll resell for a profit (200g), with a time investment of 30 minutes if I struggle to find a crafter :yuck:
I know that lot of people will be thinking that is thread is full of common sense, but the reality is that even a lot of people inside of this forum never thought about earning wow gold in a "professional" way and they just follow the flow about "do dailies for gold lol!", my little secret about wow and life in general is to always think out of the box with your own mind!
PS my main language it's not english, don't be afraid to tell me if I wrote bad sentences or errors
PPS thanks for reading this wall of text
