Yet another RAF tip: Give 60 levels? Make that 61!

Yeah, I know, another RAF-related thread. Now this is not an exploit per-se, but rather a small detail that few might have noticed.

This quick tip goes to those who plan to get two toons on a RAF account to level 60 in order to get a free level 60 toon on their vet account. However, this will help you save 490K exp on that toon's way to level 61.

When I fiddled around with the "give level" option, I noticed quite an interesting detail: when the level is given, your exp bar does NOT reset; it is adjusted proportionally to the exp percentage it had on your last level.

I think you already see where I'm going with this. If not, don't worry; it's mind-bogglingly simple. Here's the gist of the plan:

    - Get one RAF toon through 1-60, and another through 1-61. Why 61? To ensure you'll be able to get the vet toon to 60, and not 59*.
    - Get the new vet toon to 99% exp WITHOUT dinging it to 2.
    - Have the 1-60 RAF toon to spam the vet toon with 30 levels.
    - Have the 1-61 RAF toon to spam the vet toon with 29 other levels.

Now, the new vet toon is not only level 60, but is also a hair away from dinging 61!

I looked around and didn't see any thread covering that particular detail. Therefore, I thought I'd contribute by providing this piece of info, along with a basic strategy on how to use it.

*: That is due to levels being equal, in which case levels might not be given out. I've heard reports that it stopped on level 59 because of that, but nothing confirmed. So this can be taken with a grain of salt, actually.

People seam to over look this, but you can still grant 5 levels for 60-70, just cant give them to chars over 60.

Also, using levels on a char below level 10 is a waste, get your friend and spend 20-30 mins getting level 10, then u can use 10 levels on another char you may have.

Still a good idea tho, i noticed it too

Well you may have a point there. Taking 30 minutes of your time to save 10 levels on the vet account is a great idea indeed.

I'm not 100% sure about this but

I do believe this wouldn't work sorry =(
Reading the RCF FAQ's it states:

Can I save the "level-ups" I'm granted and use them at higher levels?

Yes. However, you will lose any unclaimed level-ups when you hit level 60, so don't save them for too long.
    *source* Blizzard Support

Which that would seem to me by hitting 61 you null and void the 30 levels that you would do. Now I don't know if this means you get cheated your last level (58-60) once you hit 60 or if you get the solid 30 levels but can only use them that VERY second you hit 60 if you have not already.

I just wanted to post this and maybe someone can clarify on what I read. Hopefully I am wrong but just in case, this is a heads up

One thing is not clear about this: who is the "you" in that situation? Is it the RAF level 60? Or is it the vet alt toon you give levels to?

Blizzard are known to be quite ambiguous when it comes to new features. Guess we'll need to test this extensively.

Its only the RaF that can give levels, tested this out by using my vet acc and my bro making a RaF acc, hes level 19 im level 20 i cant give him a level but when he leveled to 21 he could give me a level. good idea, but i agree about the worthless on chars less then level 10 comment, tho id just go 12 and get out of the starting area all together.

That I do know. But what I meant was: do they really mean that the RAF account won't be able to give out levels with your RAF account once he reaches level 60, or was this simply another way to say that you can't give levels to a vet toon that's 60 already?

There were some speculation that it could be the latter rather than the former. Hence why I plan to test this out in the next few weeks.

You join them to the party and right click the portal. All you do is click "grant level" same as if you want to summon. You click "summon friend" hope this helps.

Why would you level to character to 60 just to boost your main to 60? It'd be easier to just level your main to 60... any logic behind this?
