Level 29 Mage Twink Guide

I made this for me, but since I owe MMOWNED alot for there guides and model edits I decided to pst it here!

Well first off the gear, now with mages you can EASILY just get +spell damadge gear, or max out your int and stam, I went with both. Here is the gear I have on my twink!
Head:
Spell Power Goggles Extreme
These are obtained at level 225 engineering, It doesn't take that long to get your engineering that high as long as you follow a guide. If you don't feel like leveling engineering go with Elders Cap of the Eagle.

Neck:
Basalt Necklace of the Eagle
I reccomend getting this from the AH, this is the best necklace for mages.

Shoulders:
Berylline Pads
These can be abtained from a quest reward, you can start the quest from a guy in thunderbluff

Back:
Anything in the AH that is of the Eagle, I have not found a good cape for a while...

Chest:
Beguiler Robes
Get them from the AH.

Bracers
Gallan Cuffs
From a quest.

Hands:
Nightsky Gloves or Hotshot Pilot Gloves if you can get them from AH.

Waist:
Defiler's Cloth Griddle
If anyone knows better please tell.

Pants:
Elder's Pants of the Eagle 9/9
Don't get 8/9 or 8/8 because if you are going to put thread on them that is a waist of gold.

Boots:

I like these for there +run, it can help more than you think.

Rings:
Deadman's Hand and WSG Reward
Deadmans hand isn't worth getting... But if you want your twink to the max I would get it.

Weapons:
Zealot Blade with Witch's Finger, or Rod of the Sleep walker.
I use Zealot Blade with Witch's finger, but Rod of the Sleep Walker Is ok I guess.

Now that you get your gear choose your spec:
Fire Spec #1 Fire Ball

I don't know about this one, I made this my self... But good versing Rogues because fire ball gives them a Debuff (If they try to stealth it well just pop them right back out)and with burning sould you wont lose to much casting time when they get to you.

Fire Spec #2 Scorch

I would go more with this one, You can switch it up a lil depending on play style.

Arcane Spec

I like this spec alot, good and simple arcane missile spam!

I use this one it maxes out frost crits.

Now enchants.
Helm +8 intellect
Back +60 armour
Chest +150 hp
Bracers +9 stam
Hands +mana regen or +20 frost/fire/arcane sp damadge (depending on talents)
Pants +mystic spell thread
Weapon +30 spell damadge

Mage twink tips:
USE COUNTER SPELL ON HEALERS, pretty simple but few mages do this.

Help Flag Carrier, with your frost nova and Cone of Cold you should be able to help the FC better than a healer.

Sheep then Ninja cap! I do this all the time, it works well they only have one second ounce the sheep breaks.

When someone is capping the enemy flag and you have nothing to do, RUN TO THE GY AND MAKE SURE THEY DON'T GET TO THE FLAG (use frost nova so they can't iterrupt the person whose capping the flag)

There is way to many twink rogues/warriors in the 29 bracket, I own them all 1v1, and somtimes even 2v1. I don't know what is so funny about it. I also always get 2nd or 3rd at the end in both damadge and killing blows, so yeah...

1) There is too many of them
2) Gear is way harder to get
3)Que takes way to long
4) They only get WSG

Stop flaming every post....

I really like my twink mage, I crit 300 CoC and 500 frost bolt crits (300 non crits).

Great for ganking, thats all I do, three shot people that walk by :P. I would highly reccomend making a 29 twink.
