How to File/Cancel a Paypal Claim
Hey guys, I get many questions about paypal claims so here is a good tutorial. This can be used to show people you are trying to scam how to make a claim and then cancel it so they cannot get the money back!!
TLDR:
1. Send Money
2. File Claim
--. Unauthorized Transaction Method
---. Cancel Claim
Real way that is easier to understand/Share:
1. The first thing you obviously need to do is send the money (or get it sent to you).
2. Now that you have sent the money, you need to do an Unauthorized Transaction Dispute/Claim.
-To do this, the first step is to go to "My Account" and find the transaction you want to file the claim for.
-Once you have found the one you want, click on "Details"
-The next page will show the details of the transaction, at the bottom of the page there is a link for "Resolution Center" Click it.
-Click on "Unauthorized Transaction"
-It will take you to the next page where you click "Get Paypal Transaction ID" and a window will come up. Click on the transaction ID next to the transaction that you want to file a claim on.
-The window should close the the transaction ID number should now be in one of the box thingys on the main page. Click 'Continue'.
-On the next page, click the box "Other" and Type in something along the lines of "I don't recall this transaction." And then click "Continue"
-Hit "Submit" on the next page.
3. Now we need to CANCEL the Claim/Dispute
- Go to the 'Resolution Center' and look for the transaction and click 'Cancel'
- Click on Cancel Complaint, and on the next window click the box and click 'Cancel this Claim'
After that, it should be canceled, but you will often be taken to a page asking you to change your secret questions / password. If it takes you there, you can just click on 'Resolution Center' to make sure the Claim/Dispute was canceled.
That should be all that is needed. This can easily be told to someone you are scamming to make sure you keep the money. Practice it multiple times before using on a legit paypal is my suggestion!
