I juste aoe them with my druid in bear form (swipe ftw ) and they are very easy to kill.

Cool, im glad people are finding it to be a good spot, i did notice(which i should have included in the original post) that it would be difficult to setup a bot with the area layout, but i saw someone post that it could be done with a single ship and not too many people are aware of the spot to ease your mind

ill post something that i actually just tried instead of "will try" or total BS like 1G per kill and instant respawns and 25% arcane tome drops.

easy to kill, 5-6 per ship, 3 ships total, 90-120 sec to clear a ship as rogue with bad grinding spec.

DO NOT in any way shape or form respawn instantly. take SEVEN MINUTES to respawn, meaning you have to keep swimming between the ships (annoying) and even with my slow slow killing rate i had to wait after getting back to starting ship.

exact same drop rates as all the other BEs (collected via mobinfo), ie 40% on signets, rare tomes, lots of cloth, rare greys and greens. 12-20 silver per kill.

BEs are not a rare resource. if BT steps are overfarmed you can go to eclipse point or 10 different spots in netherstorm where you can chain kill them forever with no waiting, no swimming, no competition.

I don't know what game you're playing but this is great farming. The mobs have 6k hp which is about 5 seconds to kill as a rogue, I was 2 shotting them as a shaman. And by the time I cleared all three boats the first one had respawned and sometimes I'd get mobs spawning on me as soon as I killed the other ones.
I went out there for MAYBE half an hour and got 40 Sunfury sigs 2 Tomes and several stacks of NW

These mobs have the same drops from the BT stairs.

Only worth it if stairs are crowded, which they aren't on my server.

I farmed this spot for about an hour last night and got about 30 signets and 2 tomes. Great spot on my server because BT is camped to hell. +rep
