[Tip/Trick] Holy priest owning locks

I just found this out, that as a holy priest you can smite down the locks pet easily its kinda imba, seein the locks pet has a lot of resistances, peoples wouldnt think you can kill the pets with spell, but they dont have holy resistance.
So, gl owning locks that send pet after you with 5 smites and ur of the hook and can drink all u want

Wether or not a lock's pet has all sort of resistances, if the lock is demon spec, you still have to DPS the hell out of it to kill it. (shares health with minion/master)...

And if the felhunter is out, you have spell locks, fears, and all sorts of CC to worry about. You'd be healing yourself the whole time, wouldnt be able to kill the pet quick enough (unless it's an imp or posibly a succ.).

IMO rogues and druids seem to take down locks pretty quick. Gotta hit em hard and fast. I've seen some mages crit with a few spells in a row and burn down some locks.

Personally, my main is a shadow priest and I have trouble with locks all the time :[

You don't seem to understand at all. This post was meant to help, not to dictate what you do. For instance, you can LoS the lock right after he sends his pet, have your rogue shiv (crippling) then smite the crap out of it, which there is no resistance for. Also, the felhunter does NOT share hp with the lock, only the lock with the felhunter, and felhunters have low hp, and as a shadow priest, you should NOT be aiming for it.

but still, a priest, even a holy priest, taking out a warlock pet? That's bit of absurbd, what do you think the lock gonna do? Stand still and watch his pet gonna die? Besides that, if I spell lock your smite you won't be using any holy spells eg healing spells for the next 6 seconds, I got fear too, I got health funnel, so killing the pet for a priest isn't really a option.

Altho rogues could kill it, just sap the lock and nuke the pet, if the lock is using his trinket on sap, gg, then as a rogue you just nuke the hell out of the lock with KS and such while he can't do trinket on your KS.

And yes, the warlock can see you and let his pet attack you, but does that matter? Your aim is just sapping the lock and nuking the pet, that's all, and then when pet is gone, nuke the warlock. But most of the time, rogues could nuke warlocks...damn stun lock....

IF this priest teams a rogue, and the rogue jumps you, then the priest take your pet with him behind the pilar. Before you even notice it, the priest will have smited it down. You can send it back, but then the priest might aswell drink.

The priest can still add his smite damage to the effort of killing the pet, i run arena on my alt rogue with a disc priest at 1850+ rating the first thing we do is focus the warlocks pet down. Personaly i kidney shot the pet with 4-5 combo points and my priest Holy fires followed with a Swd and the pet is dead or one to two auto attacks from it.
