My hunter dps build (pve)

I have tried many different hunter specs in the past, and have found one that produces quite a bit more dps.

WorldofWarcraft.com -> Info -> Classes -> Hunter -> Talent Calculator

I use this just for grinding, and i have not tried it in pvp ever, so i cannot say how well it does in pvp.

let me know what you think about it.

BM/MM spec:

yea, i know it doesnt look good, but try it, your dps will probly go up quite a bit. just cuz i dont have beastial wrath everybody thinks it's a sucky spec, but i'ld rather rely on solid dps than spotty chances to crit.

It really would not work, I'm sorry, but to be as efficient as you can be it is a must to have those low level marksman talents, you are losing 5% crit, 10% mana for each shot, and a 30% damage increase from your critical strikes. I think if you went to a BM/MM or a surv/MM your dps output would increase tremendously.

Is this a joke? You are among those people that make us good hunters get such a bad reputation.

You have no bestial wrath, no beast within, and you have 40 points in BM!? And how do you think your pet will do good dps when you have neither Bestial Discipline nor GftT? I guess if you wanna gimp yourself to the max you could use this specc, but otherwise it's just plain fail.

If you wanna go BM then specc 41/20. That's thousand times better than your joke of a specc.

Dude dont worry, its actually a good spec i leveled my BELF hunter to 70 with something like that. you never die. and dps is fine...people are just acting like they know it all

He is talking about a PVE spec... The sole reason for a PVE spec is to maximize your dps output as much as possible, and it is not possible to maximize your dps to its fullest extent with a spec like that. Not flaming, just trying to give some constructive criticism.

I made that spec w/ the whole "send in pet, auto attack" in mind. and thats all you really have to do, maybe toss a mend pet in.. makes grinding a one click function. I was never going for fastest killer, never for special shots, as i was goin for the easiest grind up to 70 w/ least amount of my time (laptop on lap while watching tv, hit "4" repeatedly and run around in a circle.

Then specc 41/20 and just spam a steady/KC macro... Just 1 button for very good dps. Your specc is so bad it's not even funny.

Jhondice, I am just going to say this, you posted this here for us to tell you what we thought about your spec, and now that we slightly criticize it and try to give you alternate specs that we feel would help you improve your gameplay, you get all touchy feely. That is not appreciated.
