    Re: My Mage speccs

I used to be frost (pre BC) i liked it alot, i owned up the BGs and everything. But since BC came out i respec'd fire, because frost just isnt what it used to be. I used to be able to own anything / anyone with frost, and now that im deep fire, I hit for 1300 ish non crit normal fireballs, and 2750 ish crit. It also takes alot more skill to stay alive as a fire mage imo :P My spec is 3-55-2 (i didnt know where to put the last talent point rofl) and im to lazy to link it, But seriously you should try it, ive gotten my mage buddy to respec deep fire and he hasent regretted it yet, in fact he owns up the BGs alot more now that he dosent have to rely on Arcane power, PoM, or IB.

    Re: My Mage speccs

aye, i remember my level 65 mage who was frost specced, i tell you, he could OWN anything!when I went into outland though, he was comepletely killed/owned/TORN APART. i suggest frost speccing, until level 55 or so then branch out slowly.

    Re: My Mage speccs

im sorry, i really cant stand fire. i'll admit, its easily the best raiding spec, but i cant stand it for grinding, i have/had a 63 arcane frost mage, and he was critting 1800 w/o arc power. my friend re-spec'd him fire and he does low 1700's and i got a new rank of frostbolt at 63. fire eats through mana at early 60's. arcane frost = life.
    just my 2 cents.

For PvP i like elemental builds. Your build was a bit weird and I modified it a bit.

Well, im fairly gear'd on my mage, atm w/o scorches, 2500+ fireball non-crits, and scorch 2k ish crits. It's fun when you can pwn faces. Hell, i only have about 9k health, but it dun matter in pvp, cause if you start throwing 2k scorches + ignites, they just run the other way. too bad for stam : )

    Re: My Mage speccs

Okay, well I just started a new Mage. I was wondering, what would be a good spec to kill the environment very quickly?

    Re: My Mage speccs

frost is easily the best spec for arena, u may be able to instagib scrub teams with 3min but it just wont cut it higher up.

for early levels fire cant be beat

Well, think of it like this, Northrend =cold, cold=frost, meaning they will have high frost resistance, and maybe low fire resistance.

    This spec is...
    Totally unbeatable

Kinda reminds me of the warrior spec in 'Time Gnomes III... wait a second.'

    Re: My Mage speccs

    Go deep fire for raiding
    Frost for pvp
3 minute mage if you want to hope that you are against a shit arena team with no stamina.
