Right, so I've got a full info account, without the CD-Key.
I've changed the E-Mail and Password (Seeing as I've got the SQA).
I've heard about the merge Battle.net account, xfer, ban old account trick, but is this a viable choice?
I obviously don't want my main banned, I simply want one character from the scammed account onto my own.
+rep for help
Double check you're trading with me in case of impostors

We stand as one, to remember Mirror.
^ What he said. Nothing will happen to you, Completely home free brah!
Yeah. As for banning it, you should only speed hack. Bliz only bans u for 1 thing, and if ur cussing and speed hacking, you'll only get banned for one, and in my case it was cussing. So yeah, go to bg and speed hack.
Awesome, but will they take the original character back? Has anyone had an xfer reversed?
I'm wondering this as well. Seems to me like all the owner would need to do is say he was hacked, blizz checks the ip logs, sees the speedhack was done from a different address, then hands them back the account, pulls the character off of your account and then probably bans it.
tbh when scamming i wouldnt worring about keeping a char, you by far best of stripping the account of all gold then banning it sell the gold and make money lol. But if you REALLY wanna keep the char the only way you will keep it if they recall is by getting the last name on the account and set up a new one with the same last name and pct it over and ban the old account.
From personal experience the Battlenet merge is one of the best, the only way they can recover is by calling Blizzard and you only need the User/Pass to initiate the merge.
If you choose to transfer once the merge is complete its $25 as opposed to just the merge (which is free) so id only do that if the character is really worth your while.
So far this has been working for me![]()
My point is that, as I understand it, If you: make a battle.net account, merge you legit account with it, then merge a scammed account, then transfer a character from the scammed account to the legit account, then ban the scammed account, there are 4 possible scenarios:
The owner is super lazy and won't even make a phone call to Blizz to save their account they put like 100 days into.
The owner calls up Blizz and recalls the account. Blizz grabs the scammed character from you legit account, and then bans your legit account
You hit the jackpot and whoever you scammed the account from is not the original owner and can't recall.
Whatever you do to get the scammed account banned will end up getting your legit account banned as well.
To me it looks like you're screwed unless you find someone who isn't the original owner, because if the character is worth keeping, WoW is probably that player's life and there's no way they aren't going to call Blizz. Also, when you merge the scammed account with your own, the scammed guy will get an email with your battle.net email address in it, allowing him to harass you or worse.
What I do to keep a toon, is that after I finish transferring and everything, I send the owner a ban email, stating that they are banned, and that the account will not be reopened under any circumstances. Then I speedhack and ban the scammed account. Done it about 9 times successfully.
