Some guy keylogged me and got me banned HELP?!?!

Hey guys so my friend and I were playing WoW this past weekend. He went afk for a couple hours and when i came back, he was almost crying. He has leveled two of his toons to 70 and a third to 47. HE HAS NEVER SCAMMED he is the most legit person i know. So anyways he is almost crying and said he cant get on his account, i was like calm down calm down. Just do password recovery through the website. He did it and when he signed into his account BOTH OF HIS TOONS WERE ON DIFFERENT REALMS with all gear missing and all gold/bags/items. He was like dude i quit. This was the weekend so he just submitted a GM ticket to get his gear back. Later that day he got disconnected and the password was changed again!!!! The guy got him BANNED somehow for economy reasons!! I am not sure on how to help him. I deleted the keylogger with spybot search and destroy for him but its still really ****ed up.


Im going to call blizzard today how should i approach calling them??? He is the OO never traded before and he can send in a school id or w/e.....

They don't accept school id's anymore.
Just call in and say you want to change your email address.
If you say you got hacked, they will lock your account and then you will have to provide them with either a copy of your driver's license, passport, government id. Also when you retrieve your account info back, report to the gm about someone transferring the toons. I believe the banishment for economy has something to do with gold farmers etc.. Someone probably took your friend's account and rented it to a gold farmer in which the farmer got it ban for farming gold.

Well, it's probably someone from this website. Your friend might have fell for a phish site so his characters got XFER'D off and his account got banned. Sorry for his lose.

Also, if you don't/haven't done any scams, why are you in the scams section?
