Help! Possible Failed Scam :(

I know... im feeling kinda butthurt right now.

Ok, so i tried to scam an account i had the acc name/pass to, and transfer the money through the auction house (create an auction with a crappy item with a high buyout, buy it on the scammed char), but i neglected to get the character banned, because quite honestly i am an evil enough person to take a persons hard earned cash, but not quite to the point that i will ban their account.

so i do this transfer, then spend some money (it was put to good use! ) and kept playing my character. then i found out by reading a guide (i know, i should have beforehand) that i should have banned the account and/or mailed the gold to another char on my main acc and deleted the first one. i did neither of these. so for my own protection i deleted the char i had got the auction gold from.... am i safe?

im less worried about the few hundred gold then about the safety of my account overall... should i be safe after deleting the character with all the gold on him?

Umm you should have banned it. He could possibly retrieve the character and then ban your account.

i didnt scam the account... i just had the logon info, so i actually know the guy i scammed it from... i wouldnt have been able to look him in the face.

you really think im GG if he reported it? even with my deleting the char?

Oh man.

You didn't even scam the account. You TOOK it from someone who you know, and did little work.

You didn't deserve that gold unless you did some work for it. And if you're evil enough to steal something from someone you actually know well in real life (you know him well because you said you wouldn't be able to look him in the face), then you should be evil enough to carry it through.

Hopefully he doesn't know your account name because he WILL get it back and he will know what account did this to him, and know you did this to him.
