[Gold Scam] An offer they can't refuse...

For the following scam, you will need ONE/TWO SCAMMED ACCOUNTS, one with a level one who has a decent amount of expendible gold (the patsy), and one with a 70 (the enforcer). Never scam from your main...can't stress this enough.



Step 1: Catch the Horse!

Take your lowbie into Org/SW and approach a 70. Open trade with him, and before he has time to close it, give him 100+g (your discretion but it has to look real, butt you'll get it back.) and say in whisper, "Here is your gold. Thank you for shopping with Wowmine.com!)

Immediately log off.

At this point...this dude is going to be like "Wtf?" but will be too elated about getting 300g for free that he will never see the truck that's about to hit him.



Step 2: Cut Off the Horse's Head

Approach him with your 70 toon on the other account and say, "Dude! How much gold do you have on you right now?" Normally they'll ask why, so just come up with some bullshit reason. Be creative...

Now when they come back and say, "About ### or so." This is your que to f#@k his world and say, "Too bad 300 of it is from Wowmine.com."

Most people will deny it, while others will say, "How do you know?"

Never answer them...just say, "I'm opening a ticket right now to report you for violating the terms of service. Blizz can check your chat logs and see that you just received the gold. If you open trade and give me all of your gold, we'll forget all about this."

The victim will probably try to scare you by saying, "Well I'll report you for black mail," at which point you say, "Fine. This is a scammed account, I could give two shits. Lol. We'll both get banned!" That is why it is so important to used a scammed 60+ for the enforcer...they'll know that no one in their right mind is going to risk their own account with such a high level toon on it.

You have the upper hand! There's no use being coy as he already knows you're scamming him.

Most people, in fear for their account will easily pass over the gold...especially the most experienced players who have more to lose.



Step 3: Put the horse head in bed with him

Once he pays you the gold, laugh at him and tell him to follow you...take them to the mailbox.../LOL, say thanks and log out. Insult to injury...OUCH!

This is one scam that can only be foiled if they say screw it and report you, or refuse the opening offer of gold. Otherwise, fear works in your favor. Enjoy!

(For those who don't know, the phases are references to the movie THE GODFATHER)



EDIT: Mix with the TCG Scam that has been around forever, using the verbiage I posted on Hasselhoff's "Posing as a Company" thread.

After you sell them the bogus code, and tell them that it's against the ToS blah blah blah...then appoach with your enforcer and say, "Hey, did you just buy one of those mounts" When they say yeah, be like, "How much did it cost?" They'll reply and you say, "Wow I bet that broke you. How much gold you got left?" Whether they tell you or not..."Give it to me..." Follow the guide from there.



EDIT: Mix with the DND Scam from BIOSPECIES for full account.

Example:

You tell them that for all of their gold, not only will you not report them, but you will tell them how to erase their chat logs. When they agree, tell them to give you the gold. They'll give you the gold just to keep you quiet...the code to erase the chat log is like a courtesy for them.

You tell them:

/timeset
/DND Chatlog [username] [Pass]
/log erase

Booyow...you got their account too. All credit for the DND scam lies solely with Biospecies, the most excellent scammer!

Thats why it is important that you put that whisper from wowmine.com in there. It makes it look like (in their chat logs) that they bought the gold, which is against the ToS.

Plus, even if they do keep it, it's scammed gold and you CAN really report them...lol. So let them keep 100g for their account being banned/suspended.

One would assume that the high level you're targeting would have money. Selective targeting is key. So you're giving him 300g, getting it back plus ALL of his gold.

Dude I think you need to read the guide more carefully.

You give them 100 gold or more (Your choice) and tell 'em something like "Thank you for buying gold at www.wowmine.com" and log out directly.

Then you whisper them with your level 70, starting a conversation like Jankem said, asking them how much gold they have. After a while you ask them "Why did you buy gold from WoW Gold, buy WoW Gold, buy cheap wow gold, World of Warcraft Gold, Cheap WoW Gold It's against the TOS, give me all your money or I'll report you"

That's when the fear plays it's part as they're not playing on a scammed account they really wouldn't like to get their account banned and therefor give you ALL their gold, not the 100 gold but everything they own.
