That reminds me of all of the other phising scams. +rep for contributing
Alright I'm new around here and I'm just trying to contribute.
The basic method to use this scam is to find a forum where there are a bunch of people looking for impossible things like GM powers, race changes, faction changes, etc.
I would recommend using "No more email phishing! Its time for the real thing!" to make a fake login site (sorry I can't post links). When you are at the "noob" forum post something along the lines of "wow did u guyz hear blizz is letting race changes?" Before you post I would look at other posters and mimic their typing/grammar skills, so the above may vary from forum to forum.
You could also do this via email but less people tend to believe that because they see @hotmail or @yahoo in the email adress.
To be more convincing you can Kaizou a blue post and make all the appropriate edits to make it look like blizzard is confirming. You can also give instructions on how to change race....you could go as far as saying "When X or Y talks to you, give them account name/password and the desired race."
EDIT: The picture is kind of an important part, sorry it's not up. Edit 2: ImageShack - Hosting :: dryscjk5.jpg There's the pic...I just used kaizou to change a blue post. I erased the top "bar" of Firefox because I couldn't change the original threat title there.
If you would like an example of this PM me and I will send a link as I can't post them.
Flame on,
buckle
