Well even if they go looking, they may think it was your silly mistake and give you a reset for real this time because they did recieve an email, and your account was "comprimised".

I tried this exact thing to help a friend a few months back, didn't work. I posed as his father. EMailed and made a follow up call. He was banned (no warnings on his account) for botting.

It worked for me, I don't know, but before I really did ask for a reset.

Telling them you account may have been compromised will make then look into which IP addresses have been accessing the account.

To have a chance of pulling this off, you would need to have been under a proxy address.

well i am going to try it on my ex main account it was banned under a diff ip from the one i am on now so it may work i'll post the results

lol cant believe its first time posted.. basicly just say it was hacked and provide verification =) MAKE SURE YOU SEND THE VERIFICATION TO BLIZZ avoid the acc email scams lol.
also you dotn need proxy just a dif comp.... sometime comps with routers have the same external ip adress thats the IP Chicken - Whats my IP address? ip address lookup and if there both the same it may not work im not sure if they use internet ip or internal =(

Well I'm allowed access to my account again, I was meant to be suspended for another 24hrs. My account was suspended for about 36 of the 72hrs.

If I could rep I would.

OK so you have no problems with scamming on wow but you can't bring yourself to making a false ID image to send them its not like your sending them the actual ID.
