So I successfully completed my first scam using this method. I was super excited. I got 1000g for the supposed [Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger] code. I did my best to cover my tracks after i got the gold. I moved the gold around between 3 different accounts, using the AH to move it twice and direct trade a few more times. I deleted the character I used to scam and recreated him using the exact same name and class. I even went so far as to use the old " ì " in the name. Guess what, its three days later and I'm now sitting on a 72 hr ban. Not only did they trace the gold back to my account but they also traced it to what character I had it on and that I used it to level my Blacksmithing. The took away my blacksmithing profession on top of the ban. I just hope that when I log on my [Deep Thunder] is still there I'd hate to have to go through the trouble of getting the mats again after keeping them so long while I leveled my Blacksmithing. Just thought I'd share that yes this is a good scam and it is fairly easy to get people to hand over the gold, there is just no for sure way to cover your tracks. So everyone doing this with multiple successes I solute you I'm obviously just not that lucky.

Suit yourself, you didnt use my method = fail. I never mentioned anything about moving the gold between accounts and/or using the AH. Please realize that unless you use my method do not post about failures in this thread.

People can't report you for advertising in trade,
that happened to me a few times too but i never
actually got a warning or anything from it, not even have a GM whisper me.
If a GM does catch you after a successfull scam, you will get a warning the first time, personally I had this happen once (not from this scam) and what happened was I got an in-game mail saying its against their ToS to scam basically, the second time I got another warning, third time 3 hour ban. From this scam, I have never got so much as a warning and im still doing it. It took me quite some time to work out the best possible way of doing it so i've had some failures
in the process of making it
But like I said I consider this scam almost bulletproof.

Thanks. But i did get one or two that would buy em but none off em had money . And i went as low as 500g. one had like 120g other had like 50g.

Didint feel like scamming poor toons.

This seems to be awsome. I just wanna make it.

Will it be better or worse if i try on a trial account? Like scam them on the trial send it to my alt on that trial account delete the scamming guy then make a copy off him then send the mail from the alt to my main?.

btw i'm on a RP server they seem all either to smart or to broke.

Any idea how to scam like multiple peeps together on one char..Mostly everyone goes for the tabard and it's always "half the money first and the rest after" thing..So I end up like 50g per day which is worse than dailys.Any ideas/tips flip?

When i advertise i get like 3 whispers. One says hes gonna ban me somehow (happend like 3 times and i havent gotten a warning yet)

and other go like its bind on pickup i explain how to do it and then they go ok give me code then i give you money. and i say it doesent work that way and it ends up in no deal. I am still trying atleast.

Hehe, okay I will salute you for that scam but tbh it's not a bulletproof scam.First of all, I scammed 2k today and got a temporary ban for the first time in my life :'(..how insulting, lol..but they didn't take the money ftw =D

So anyways, I did EXACTLY the same thing you told me..

1.scam the person
2.send it to main and then delete charecter.
3.recreate another one with the same name.

Succes rate of getting dogded 55%

Chances of getting caught 40%

The gap between the % rate is because it depends upon the player how seriously he takes it and how the GMs react to it.

In your case, the player's don't care or the GMs are just too stupid..I guess i'm on the those "really smart and strict" GM servers

Anyways..8k in 2days is not bad..and I used it all up for my stuff so they didn't take it away, and I have all my items too =D

this is basically what I did, people were gettin to aware of the basic scam, the only thing is you wont get banned for scammin, but for sellin items outside of wow.

according to the email blizz sent me I was temp banned for scamming nothing was said about selling non game items it was all scamming.
