dude, you've got shitall chance of getting that gold back
next time pay half in advance and the rest after you've confirmed that the code works or is included in the first place.
Hello all.
I got scammed for a 'Fishing Chair' TCG loot card today for 6900g. I am just wondering if I would be receiving my gold back because 90% of the transaction was done over MSN.
The scam started as WTS "..." and therefore. I asked the seller how much he wanted and he said offer. So I offered 7000g. He said add my hotmail and I did and we talked their for abit. Chat log ends on World of Warcraft after that.
After a 5min talk he told me on msn to come to SW and trade him and he said I could have it for 6900g. He told me on MSN that the code was within a plain letter and that once I traded the gold he would trade the letter. So he traded the letter and I gave him 6900g. Opened the letter and it only said THANKS!
Any suggestions on my chances of getting the gold back.

All TCG items are boe since 3.2, Meaning they are tradeable ingame. Never buy ingame unless he is actually trading you the item rather then a code.
And you will probally not get your money back, but you could always try.
Wow lol you fell for a scam thats been around since TCG originated, congrats!
why even belive that :b?
Bad troll
*sprays water*
But if you seriously aren't a troll, your pretty much shit out of luck of getting your gold back
report?
that's what i'd do ... if i got scammed
which i wouldn't
Haha classic. I'm gonna make a gold guide on WoW just for you man!
Aha that sucks but the only way you can get your money back is if you start scamming. There's nothing really Blizzard can do. You feel for it and why would you trade a letter for the gold? Why didnt you just ask him to type it in party or whisper? But back to Blizzard. Pretty much they can do is say "You're a retard and you should press Ctrl+Alt+F4 and cancel you'r wow subscription.
Welcome to the scam section. Please take a seat.
Hardcore.
You sir, just got owned by one of the oldest scams in the book.
I am seeing a lot of people do that on Illidan Horde with the Swift Spectral Tigers saying they have the code but are just bluffing the whole time.
When somebody asks you to chat on Skype or MSN then that is a sign they don't want there content they type to be logged by Blizzard on WoW because getting your gold back is really hard for Blizzard to track except for the fact that 7900 pure gold was traded with no items or anything available. Blizzard has been really good at doing restores of Gold recently. I know this post was made 2 years ago, so this is for anybody reading this for now![]()
WelL.. Thats foolish to belive tbh.
1. Why would he have to talk over MSN when theres a chat messenger in game?
2. They just have to put the item in trade (Cause you can go to a vendor and put in the code.
For next time. Dont ask for the code ask for the item ingame, Do not give them the gold until they can put the item in trade.
It's not even against the rules to buy BOP TCG loot ingame for gold...
What made you think MSN would work in your favor? Means the seller has something to hide obviously..
You got a chance to get ur cash back, a guildie scammed me once. (It was an 25mans guild i had joined for a couple of days ago before the scam occured) He thought I wouldnt pass the trial so instead of cutting my epic gems he took them and ignored me. I reported this and I got all of my gems back and he got a 72hours ban, he missed 2 raids and got kicked.
