They recieved an in game mail from a name that appeared to be an officer in the guild. Only they would replace 1 letter. "i" for example with the alternative letter that resembles "i" telling them that the guild made a video to promote it for new members. i dont know if it was key logger or required them to log in. but i know 3 of my guildies got hacked because of it. So watch out for that one.

This is increasingly rising along with ingame whispers like "You just won a free unique mount! Use this code and log in on this website to claim it! www.xxxxx.com" They usually suck at doing it and targets everyone at lvl 80 since my entire guild got the same massage within 20 seconds. There are stupid people out there, just look at *****ia scams.

What you can do like i did in the old days is have an entire list of false names/possible account names (Dictionary works flawless here). Have an addon for firefox refresh the page and copy paste new information into the 2 seleceted target each time with another name and password each time, easy to get close to 1000 logins with false information within 1 hour. I was happy, and the potential hacker was probaly furious.

you can tell if its fake by spotting out spelling errors, grammatical errors and sentence structure (how its all typed out, if he uses like 4 words per line or something)

And i dont think you can block them. I mean how long does it take to make a hotmail account? or a gmail account? A bit pointless trying to block one when another pops out of no where
