TCG Scam - REBORN by Royalx

Lots of talk about this scam being dead. Many would argue it's been dead for months possibly years. Recently, Jasejunk released the most epic version of this scam ever seen by the MMOwned community. Within a week of his release, Blizzard killed the scam - Or did they?

I made $300 using Jasejunk's phishing method in 2 days. I began last Thursday, and by Sunday I realized this needs to live on. For a few days I contemplated it in my free time. Not until I remembered a faint, old, version of the TCG scam did I get the ideas for this guide. This is what I've been able to pull together:


Some old time MMOwned members may remember way back in the corners of their brain a version of the TCG scam that used "Lootfetch.com". This is what we're going to base our new version of the scam on.

Requirements:
World of Warcraft Account - $18 or just scam one
Atlasloot - Here
Warcraft Instant Messenger (WIM) - A goddamn required addon for any in-game scam, here!
Jasejunk's TCG Phisher - Right over here
PAID Domain - Come on, it's $15 max for a domain and hosting

The Gameplan:
1. Infiltrate, raid, log in, whatever to any realm and create a character or use an existing one.

2. Create a macro using this script:
A.

B. /makemacro [SPECTRAL TIGER LINK HERE!]

So, in a nutshell, open up atlasloot (/al), copy paste the script in section A in to chat, then type /makemacro, then shift+click the Spectral Tiger link in Atlasloot.

3. Now, edit the macro to this:

/2  Lootfetch.com has massive amounts of TCG Mounts including [Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger]! Almost all TCG mounts are for sale! Please pst me for additional information and pricing.

Or use your own variation.

4. Wait for people to message you in game. You are going to pose as a representative of Lootfetch.com. Talk to as many people as you can.

5. When you get a potential buyer, ask him to prove to you that he has the gold. When he has done so, tell him you are redeeming the code yourself. (He may ask to redeem the code himself! If so just keep reading and you'll know what to do.) Wait 2-3 minutes and tell him there must be some sort of error on your end as the page is not opening and when it does, you still can't redeem the code.

6A. Tell the buyer to redeem the code himself and you're trusting he won't take the mount and run. The buyer is legit, so he won't think of running off. He'll ask where to redeem the code, link him YOUR phishing site.

OR

6B. Tell the buyer you have a ton of customers at the moment and you don't have the time to deal with him directly. Ask if he can redeem the code himself at your phishing site. It's very believable, you ARE a company, right? :P

7. If all goes well, he'll login on the site and you'll get his info. Quickly login, change the password or merge it to a bnet account and sell all his gold. Usually when someone offers you 10k gold they have much more than that. I have gotten multiple accounts with 20k+ on them. That's AT LEAST $60 for 10 minutes of work. Worth it

Why will this work? You're acting as a company and you are able to legitly link the item in chat! Lootfetch has its own website so no one will question your authority. This has worked just as well as Jasejunk's original scam for me, 3/3 victims successfully scammed this far. Also, you are a COMPANY! Therefore it's very believable that you don't have the mount in hand as you wouldn't want to waste stock on a certain realm if no one is buying.

And there it is, TCG Scam REBORN

It's been through it all, the fails the falls, just like Niagra but it got right back up like Viagra.

That site will work, just avoid freehostia. They're shutting phishers down in about a day. I use namecheap.com personally, thanks to Jasejunk, and also NXD.
A phisher makes a "log" of the password/usernames so you can just open the log in your file manager of your site to see that pass/usernames.
