I guess it only works for US, because EU were released about two weeks after US. They probably fixed the bug for EU before they made it open.

Okay, it definetly only works on US Ptrs, not on EU ptrs!

I highly doubt this would have got you an account anyway. All I can see when this worked is that:

You could get someones account name, big woop
You can trick them into believing your a GM, big woop

"I'm a GM, gimme your pass" is not really going to work.
