Using the script change to Scam.

Requirements:
A WoW account.
Some type of account to accept payment (i.e. Paypal)
Those are the only requirements, anything else you can/should make after reading this.


Introduction:
This is an easy scam, not much to it, do what you would, or at least should be doing when scamming at any time. Run a proxy, don't rush, if they say no don't push it. Let them set prices, but don't let them go to low, it becomes to obvious and then you lose. And from what I hear losing sucks, but I wouldn't know anything about that. It isnt ego if your actually that awesome. lol


Process:

Step 1) Make a new character and run to the nearest major city.

Step 2) Type in /script SILVER_PER_GOLD=1. It may help to send yourself some money before doing this to make the amount look larger. For anyone who has never seen this before, don't piss yourself. The amount changed is client side, meaning only you see that amount, trade it to anyone and they see 1s for every
1g you see.

Step 3) Open your bag, the b button is awesome for this. Delete and sell all the stuff in the bag to.

Step 4) Take a screenshot of the large amount of gold you have, if need be use COPPER instead of SILVER and I think you can also change the 1 to a higher number to make it look like you have even more gold.

Step 5) Go to a site like Markeedragon, and post a thread saying you are selling massive amounts of gold any server. Instruct people that they need to post first and then give them your email. Make a new email account and post that.

Step 6) Find out what server their on. Say you're on a different one, and that for $25 dollars upfront you will xfer to their server to sell them XXX amount of gold for a low price (say around $7-$8 per 1k and only if they are *buying* a large quantity of gold).
This may need to be changed up depending on the person. Let them negotiate to what they want to pay, you dont care your scamming. Just get that $25 dollars from them. If you want say you want a percentage of the amount of money for the gold up front. This lowers the effectiveness, but hey, the worlds full of idiots with money.

Step 7) Send them the SS you took earlier, proving you have the gold. Ha that had a use after all? Thanks Blizz.

Step Get your money using paypal or w/e you use. Have them send it you. Buy something fast. Lots of ideas for that on the site elsewhere, so find one.

Step 9) Go back to step one.

Tips:

Tip 1
1) So you have someone, and then they ask to see the character in game?
What to do, what to do. Well obviously tell them that the account is out of time, but wait, you took a SS and theres a calendar, hiding it makes it obvious your a scammer, but what are the chances you just happened to run out of time on the same day you're selling?
So what to do?
2 options. If you're stupid do the second one, if their stupid do the the first one, if you're both stupid don't have kids togeth... I mean if they seem smart go with the second (sorry no secret option 3).

Option 1) So the first option, easy really, demand money for the time, and slightly lower the price of the gold. That was easy. (For a scammer I'm pretty honest?) Oh and option 2 is better, use it. (no really it is)

Option 2) Ok this isn't hard either but slightly lengthier, its worth it dont worry.
Say "We are going to pay for the time to put on this account. It will slightly raise the price of your gold by XXX amount." - Replace XXX with an actual price, otherwise you can copy and paste that line exactly, it's gonna come in handy for.......

Tip number 2:
Now at the end of 1 I told you to boost up the price. Ya I just made you even more money, you're welcome in advanced.
Now notice how I said to say we instead I? Thats because - yup you guessed it (unless your slow then wait a second you'll find out soon) - you are pretending to be a company.
Hasslefhoff posted that scam first, but if he plays on failtree then I know where his inspiration for the scam came from, otherwise I just use a similar but less advanced technique.
Now whats the advantage of being a company you ask? (If you didn't ask that I still suggest reading the next part anyways.)
The advantage is trust of course. If they trust you, you already have the money in your pocket, or paypal account, thats almost as good right?
However, with being a company you were able to raise the price because you need to charge more because you need to put time on the account. But what if you also had an account to give them instead of giving them the gold from the account? I smell a new way to raise the price.
(No really I do, I have a messed up sense of smell.)

Where your at so far: You have their trust, you have $25 for the xfer to the server they are on, you inflated the cost of the gold slightly, which is going to be useful at.........

This stage:

Explain to them and I wont quote this to make your copy + paste even easier:

Because we are giving you an account we must raise the amount of money by XXX dollars per k.

Why they ask (or you maybe?)

Well, if they are getting an account, which is around $30 to make then to make profit, you need to charge that to them. So say something like this when they ask why:

This is because we must purchase the account, and get the gold onto the account. We pay two thirds (thats changeable varying on your greed and their intelligence) of the account price, meaning we need an additonal $11.34 from you. - (I didn't check that but take the amount of money an account costs and then + tax divide by 3, it won't be a clean number, so make it look something like that.)

So theres at least $10 more. You've made $35 so far. But wait!, theres more.

So you have the account going to them, you have the character being xfered to their server.

Try giving them an actual account.
use a spare account thats out of time, and give them that so they feel like they finally have something. Don't give them a password, but if you don't have a spare account just give them the name of a trial account.

Now how to profit from that? Say you require anywhere from 10% to hell maybe 50% of the money for the gold before they have the account. Why they ask? Well here is why:
Due to some customers getting worried and cancelling the payment (thanks Paypal for only loving buyers) we require this amount to ensure you are serious and will not be backing out of the agreement.
Upon recieving payment we will transfer the character to your realm. Upon doing so we will use the time on the account to show you the gold in the game. You will then pay the remaining amount, and we will give you the account information.

Wow so 10-whatever percent you choose? Lets see on an order for lets says 10k gold, going for maybe $9 a k, if you say at the bare minimum 10% you make another $9 (I used those numbers because they were easy, you can make significantly more then that no problem.)

Your on a different server and you need the money to transfer to theirs to give them large amounts of gold at a low price.
