Neutral Auction House Interception Scam

This is a little something I accidently discovered that made me some pretty good gold. I'm not even sure if this is technically a "scam" nor do I know if it is a repost, I searched forums and found nothing but if it is flame away.

First of All May I Make This Perfectly Clear: This scam only works if you reside on a normal server. This will not work if you are on a pvp server.

Neutral Auction House Interception Scam: By Joust

Let me start from the beginning. I make my home on a normal server where I have the liberty of creating both alliance and horde characters. (I don't get into the whole horde V Alliance serious thing, i get bored easily so I like to switch thigns up). Anyway one perk of having both alliance and horde toons is when you are looking for an item and it is not for sale on your main faction's AH you can check the opposite faction's AH if you are lucky enough to find the item you are looking for on the other AH you can get the item to the faction of your choosing via the neutral auction house in booty bay. I won't get into this as thats not part of the scam.

Anywho, one day I thought wait a minute i bet there are other players out there that have the same idea as me and they are doing this strategy to get items that they want. And I thought wouldn't it be funny to check the neutral AH and look for high end items on buyout for extrmely low prices? so I went to check the AH and sure enough there was a level 80 epic BOE on buyout for 1 copper. 1 copper! So, i bought that sucker up thottbote'd it for AH sale and it went for 800 gold! I bought an item for a copper and sold it for 800 gold. So now, this has become routine for me everyday every once in awhile I go scan the neutral AH to intercept player's items they are trying to transfer and I come up with pretty impressive results. So far, I have made an estimated total of 50k off of doing this and counting. It works well because the neutral AH is bost somewhat unknown and very unpopular so players believe their stuff is safe because they believe noone accesses the AH.
