Okay, and how would just getting their account name allow you to ever get their password, and more so, ever secure their account?

Im getting the feeling you sped-read this post and now believe that you are an expert on what you 'read'. I gave the account name as an EXAMPLE of how you can do it.

And to be honest, I don't know how much you know about the workings of Blizz in europe but if you have an account name, first and last name and an answer to a secret question you can pretty much recall any account over here (even if it's only for a day or two...by then you could have sold it/stole the gold or whatever).

I didn't write this to say "Oh look how fantastic this is you can scam and keep any account on the planet!! lolz!!". I wrote it to show people that things like this are possible. I was counting on the intelligent people of the site to be able to see that and put it to good use.

But hey, if you can read the EULA I guess you can tell me about mental suggestion and the way that people's minds work. :P

No, I definitely did not speed read it. Your post did not include any information on how you could use this technique to obtain the SQA, which is why I do not feel the guide is sufficient.

See, if you were to tag the thread merely as a "[Theory]", it'd be okay, but if you're posting it as an actual technique, as you are, then you need to go into greater detail regarding how you can get more than just their account name.

Obviously not so continuously like this, but use techniques to lead up to that question when enough confidence is built. And then later ask them what high school they go to, or mother's maiden name or whatever, after talking about yours. But MUCH later obviously. Something like that probably, but way more subtle.

Change the word Username to Secret Question.

Yes, but the way you described it is almost like just saying "What's your SQ/A?" because your story is talking about it, making their mind more aware of a possible 'security breach' of some information they have. You want to just talk to them and put a question in while their mind is distracted so that they answer it naturally...

Like talking to your girlfriend while watching TV;

Her: Blah blah blah blah
You: Yes dear
Her: Blah?
You: Of course not!
Her: Blah blah?
You: I'll do it in a minute.

That is basically all you hear from your end, but you are answering her questions naturally without thinking because your mind is focusing on something entirely different.

Yeah, exactly, that's what I meant. Basically incorporating what I said, but with a different story, unrelated to what you really want. It's just seems kinda weird to be asking these things out of the blue like that. Even over vent, it's not quite like being face to face with that person, which is also really important for these techniques a lot of the times. I can see how it would work a lot of the times, but there's definitely a lot of room for mistakes and just ineffectiveness in general.

Yes, it's a ton easier if it's face to face, but over Vent it is still possible, you just have to practice.
