Once I re-install WoW (damn patching) I will test this out. If it works....+Rep.
Actually nice idea. +Rep anyway!
Don't know if this has been posted before, first time I've posted a scam.
You need to have full info, this requires email control.
1. Change the email address / gain email control. (I always make a gmail with the OO's name)
2. Simply change the password (Duh!)
3. Change the address & phone number. (# must match new address area)
4. Call Blizzard and tell them you have updated your account information and just wanna double check its updated on their system because you have recieved a couple emails about someone trying to change your account information and are worried they may have your old information. Tell them something like "plus I moved recently and would like to have my updated info on hand"
5. Tell them you would like to change your SQ/A as well as to you have been hacked.
The reason you do this is so they overwrite and pre-existing information and make sure its intheir database. I got messaged in game from the accounts original owner bitching about he cant get his account back because he doesn't have the correct information on the account.
Followed by I'm all type of arseholes and bitches.
Meanwhile I was in AV AoE'ing down some Alliance members
While thinking of what I'ma buy with the 5k gold I'ma send to me legit account.
With this, is there no longer a reason to pay the money to transfer the character to a new fresh account? Maybe, it has worked for me so I figured I'd share it with you guys. Have fun.

I've actually done this a few times.
Worked twice, the rest failed, but +rep anyway.
Yeah, it's kinda a chance factor
Is this also tested for EU?
Do the impossible, see the invisible
Row row, Fight the power.
I've only tested US, and I still have the account and happen to be being begged for his account back.
