You will need two accounts to do this..

First log onto one account then take a few popular trade goods such as primals or enchanting mats and put them on the AH for 1 copper bid with no buyout.

now log onto the second account and bid the lowest possible on the items. goto your bid tab and wait for someone to outbid you.

when someone outbids you, instnatly outbid them back with the lowest possible amount. try to get them to bid again, keep out bidding them very small amounts then all of a sudden outbid them by lets say 200g. if all goes well and this person isn't very smart they will be just spamming the bid button and will outbid you. if they don't outbid you then you will just have to wait and you should get most of the money back (AH cut) i think its based on the vendor price of the items.

shill bidding is bidding just a small amount on one of your own auctions so other people will bid. yes maybe the first part of the scam is shill bidding but not the part where u bid a large amount of gold and they instantly outbid you because they are spamming the bid button.

great idea, did this a few nights ago and sold 10 primal shadows for 950g

also did the same for 10 fires (850g) and 20 mana (600g) which is all 3/4 times the current realm price
