WOTLK Beta Inviter - Beta Stage

Are there any changes you would like to see in version 1? Maffyx will be trying to make an installer so we'll see how that turns out.

We need your support though as well as ideas... so please bring them out! Remeber to give some credit to The Maffyx as well! Also, if any coders are interested in helping us with the installer... please do because it will be a hard project to compile the exe with the code.

I've been working on this program in VS... and with the help of The Maffyx I have completed it.


Please understand that this is my first application... so there may be bugs, glitches, and other problems.

I will be customly coding these for everyone that requests it... but you must have over 20 reputation because I do not want this used everywhere.
It is very useful for YouTube videos and other creative ideas... just to target single individuals and etc.

What it is the user downloads the 'WOTLK Beta Inviter' and fills out there Email Address, Account Name, First Name, Last Name, Address, Zip Code, and State. Once that is filled out they click invite and all of the information will be sent to your gmail account. Then you will 'verify' there account by sending them there Secret Question and they will send you their answer.

SQ Email How-To:

Once you receive the first email, you are ready to receive the SQA. What you will first need to do is visit WoW.com Account/Password Retrieval and click forgot your account password.
Then enter the account name and proceed. Now you will see the secret question at the top...

Now, send them an email using http://www.linfoxdomain.com/email/ or another HTML enabled email faker.

 From Address: [email protected] 
Email Subject: WOTLK Beta Confirmation

Now send the following message...

Your participation for our upcoming World of
Warcraft expansion: Wrath of the Lich King has been accepted!
However, there is one more step to confirm that you are the original owner of your World of Warcraft account.

Now, to receive the email you will need to create an email address that sounds legit. The user will hopefully go ahead and send it over.

I like this idea very much! Unfortunately I don't have enough rep, but the confirmation email with the SQ is very smart

People generally freak out if you ask them their SQ/A immediately, or at least in my experience.

The only things that I would change are the order you put the info in and the "WOTLK Beta Inviter" header. If you put things like Name and Address first, people generally put real info instead of faking it. And the header just doesn't fit well with the official Blizzard look to me. The rest, however is fantastic. Keep it up!
