Now this might sound like a dumb question, but do you really just put another random players armory link into your WTS thread on Markeedragon? So you find some player matching your description, post the armory link and saying a couple of things about the account like "i got XXXX gold and XX badges" etc? Would be really nice if you could exlain for me

Normally, I use my alts and I have quite a few of them. I gave them my armories and adds some describtion of the character (what is his pve gear, what is his pvp gear).

Now, the badge part NORMALLY they don't care at all. So If you found someone who actually cares, hes not a scammer and leave him alone by saying "Oh sorry, someone offered me more, or oh sry sold." I don't advertise for scamming legit people.

You are right, most company nowdays requires comfirmation, however, thsale never comfirmed with me and their delivery were always instant(I can't vouch for this). So I was able to get the gold before paypal reviews.

I have a few Discount Coupon at thsale. If you want to use them, make sure you type in WOWAF or WOWAC at the Discount Coupon section(just before payment) and apply the coupon =).

Once again, every scamming method will invole risk. If you are smart, you will be able to get out with butt load of cash without consequence.

IP hiding.

- It's extremly important that you hide your ip. Do not use this to do fraud because they will FIND you if they wanted to.

If you can't hide it, make sure CHANGE it. It's easily doable if your ip address isn't static (you have to call them to find out which type it is)

I had some deal with paypal. 2 year ago I went I sold my gw account for $200 but the buyer put an dispute on me. He was able to walk away with my account and his money because paypal will ALWAYS favor buyers. I got a negative -200 on my paypal account and I simply decided to not use it ever again.

2 months ago I started thinking about selling my wow accounts and remembered my paypal. So i logged on and of course, my account was closed. It's been 2 years I recieved 0 phone call (I did write down my real number), didnt get any knocking at my door(I had my real address) and nothing happened to me except my paypal was closed.

Anyhow, I can not guarantee to you that nothing will happen to you, it really differs on people. Don't take the risk, change ur ip, hide it, use blocker. Do whatever you can to ensure that you will walk away safely on this one.

Lol, I tried doing that thing where you post an ad for a 70, wait, say your account is out of time so you can't meet ingame, and get them to send you a gamecard code, and then you run....here's what happened to me

Some guy emails me with the email "f0rce wind" and I instantly suspect it to be a Chinese ninja. I couldn't have guessed something better, rofl. Here's his email.

It's sad most account scammer nowdays are chinese =/ I myself is half chinese, that's how I communicate with them. I didn't want to be cruel to my own people, but they really shouldn't have ****ed me up.

Awsome job, I lost my char the same way you did a few months back and I would do this same type of thing but I dont wanna be in jail/prison. Since I have 2 kids and way too much to lose.

Hope everyone who does this is safe and only rips off the scammers. Glad someone is doing this just hope it dont send someone away for a few years cause its not worth it.

To answer some question and concerns,

People don't just "go to jail", especially not over a few hundred bucks. Of course, if you plan on scamming thousands of dollars then that would be an entire different situation, however, if you hide yourself well with the ip, and never reveal any information, it is literally impossible for them to get any trace of you.

I just tried this out, got ~$300. Bought gold.

Paypal put the funds on hold and the recommended site (thsale) knew immediately and put my order on hold.

So I suppose that I'd have to resolve the dispute before I get anything.



And...
