    Real Money Scam

    Real Money Scam
Notice: This is going to be scamming real money from other people. I know that there are some people that find this unethical, so if you are one of these people, stop reading after this paragraph and please don't leave a comment saying that this is really mean.
I Take no responsibility if you happen to get in trouble trying this scam.

    Ok Here we go!
Well this is how this scam works:
You're going to be posting a really good account on an account trading website. You'll pretend that you're new to trading and everything and therefore a bit paranoid about being scammed. When the people want to trade with you, you need to act like safety is all that matters for you and make them feel like you're a legitimate person who is after a very safe trade. Read the rest In the Method.

    Requirements:
-A level 70 wow account that people would want to buy
    -Social Skills
    -AIM/MSN
    -A Phone
    -A Paypal Account.
-A Markeedragon account, Rep helps. (See my thread in the Scams Help section if you want some rep)

    Method:
    1) Go onto MarkeeDragon.com (or any other wow account selling website you want) and make a post advertising that you want to sell your account.
Make it look as convincing as possible, describe your account completely and make it look very proffesional: it will make the victim feel more comfortable. Put in some screenshots of the character.

Somewhere in the post, you will need to say the following (or similar things):
I know there are a lot of scammers about lately, so i feel the need for certain precautions during this transaction. If you can't provide a phone call, post in my thread, or go through any other safety precaution that i feel necessary, then do not contact me.
If you are interested in buying my account, this is my procedure, do not contact me if you don't agree to it:
-You will send me the money via Paypal.
-You will dispute the payment, and then immediately cancel the dispute.
-I will transfer the money to my bank account, i will not give out any account information until the money is safely in my bank account. If you have sufficient rep, i may let you play the account until i have recieved payment.
***All these are just to keep scammers away, so please don't even try scammers***
    ***I Will NOT rent***

    2) Wait for someone to contact you. This may take a while, because a lot of people don't want to give out so much info or go through so many procedures just for safety. But EVENTUALLY, someone's going to contact you.
This person will be the right target, because it was said clearly in your thread that they had to agree to your conditions before contacting you. Quickly go through all the phone calls (hide your number) and posting and stuff with him. The reason why you need the real account is to show ingame if they ask. Even OFFER to show it, just to make them feel safe.

    3) He sends you the money. Disputes it. Then cancels the dispute. As far as i know, if he disputes it and cancels the dispute, then there's no way for him to get back his money. I think that they *might* be able to contact paypal directly and talk their way through and take back their money...thats why theres still more to the scam. Basically you tell them to wait a few days for the money to be transferred to your bank account and for you to withdraw the money and that "in the meantime, we will keep in touch."

    4) You now have some money to blow.
    Either:
    a) Spend it all online, then cancel the paypal account.
    or
    b) Transfer the money to your bank account, then cancel the paypal account.

Basically because you have a few days to "xfer the money to your account", the victim can't try anything, which gives you those few days to clear up anything, delete the evidence and spend/transfer the money.

If you want to ask any questions about it, my email is in my sig.

    Good Luck

Good scam. And you are correct about the paypal user not being able to reopen a closed dispute. I know from experience that they cannot do it, as I have been on the other end too back when I was a legit seller/buyer. Even if you call Paypal they will say there is nothing they can do.

The reason is, once you cancel a dispute you have to pick a reason such as resolved, received my item, etc. This is all paypal needs to say they won't reopen it since the buyer admitted getting the item by canceling the dispute.

    Thanks for the post!

However, shouldn't you do something like change the 70's name after? I mean, that idiot victim could go around MD or any trading site spamming that ur character is a scam and shit like that. Or is there no way for the victim to ruin you? I would still say a name change would be safe.

sorry for this third post, but can't you just transfer the money to your bank account and cancel the paypal account without the need to have the buyer dispute and close dispute the transaction?

DO NOT transfer the money to you bank account!!! That i find a tad silly really, as if the scammed wanted to, they can involve the po po as you have taken money, and not provided the product, and that is effectively theft, which last time i checked, is punishable with jail time...... and ass reaming by some big ass cell mate. If i had to make a suggestion, use a phantom paypal account, and close it after you spend the money.........
