simple youtube gold/account scam

ok well this is just something i thought of while making my private server all you do is go to a popular guide on how to create your 2.3.3 ...etc server and make a simple post saying

1.hello we are a new server called
we are looking for new gms
plz message me telling me why you should be a gm, if you have played or are playing retail wow at this time and if you have a good knowledge of the ascent commands

once you get message saying that they play retail wow you say

2.ok you look like a good candidate plz tell me the info below so i can make your account

email:
username:
pass:

hoping that the person is not smart enough to change it from there retail wow account

then you go on there account take what you want

then if i recall i have not played retail wow in a while but you need a secret question to change the email so you would say after you have successfully logged on there account and make sure it is real we have just created a safety question for user safety against hackers or something and ask the question they have then go on change what u need to change and ur golden

if this has been posted plz flame if you feel it necessary

then you ask for account but since most don't wanna have 2 different ones they just say the same

only thing is why would you need the email address. The only reason i could see is to try to change it to yours but that would mean that u would have to have access to their email

99% of people who make private server accounts use the same info as their real wow accounts, because most are generally retards. (no offence intended to anyone here) But, because most who play on the private servers wont have an account worth scamming, because they have to go on a private server just too see things like karazhan

But thats just my thoughts,

Posted before, not with the youtube thing, but it's basicly the same. Hope that your target is stupid enough to use his user/pass as he uses on retail.

Well.. in every game i play i have different username and pass... In WoW priv. servs too.. But this might actaully work.

ty for the responses but alot of people do have high level chars but they decide to try a private server because there is new people or they don't wanna pay for retail anymore or etc...

im sure with some work this could almost get u a hit on a real account all the time

thanks for the responses all i thought of was lower the requirements of what your looking for say something like our server has just had a mass amount of people join and now we need gms desperately all you need is good social skills and a retial wow char

all they see is something about a gm spot and they just jump on it and don't put 2 and 2 together

i re vamped part 2 aka getting the account

to get the account you need user,pass,email,and a secret question when you just get the account you don't have the secret question do you no so what you do is once you get account info and make sure it works you find they question they have and say we just issued a gm safety question to make sure no accounts get hacked

you type the question they have in and wallah you have there secret question:wave:

i agree with lostprophet i can see this scam working but as he/she said it will most likely bee someone that has never hit 60 maybe even 70 which is why theyre at a private server trying to be GM. it can work though
