[How To] Avoid a Phone Conversation

[How To] Avoid a Phone Conversation
Yea, well when you're in a transaction to buy, sell or trade an account, a lot of people really want to be safe so they ask for a phone conversation.
As some of you might know, i have a help thread in the Scamming Help Section, and a question i get asked often is what to do if they want a phone call.

Ok, well some of the time, they find it ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO TALK ON PHONE (or vent), if you're against one of these people, get out fast.
If its a person who just wants to talk for safety, but isn't that worried about it, then it's very easy to talk your way out of it.

All i say is: "sorry, i'm actually at an internet cafe atm so i haven't got a phone."
and if they want vent: "they haven't got vent on these computers either"

If you want to sound even more legit, make sure you're the one who asks for THEIR phone number before they ask you.
    something like this:
*Just agreed on trading an account, just before you exchange details*
You: btw, you mind if i have your phone number, in case something goes wrong?
Them: Yea, lol, i was just gonna ask that. Could i have yours too. Mine is XXXXXXXX
You: cool thnx, mine is XXXXXXX (just give a fake number). Don't bother calling now though, no-one home, i'm at a net cafe atm. Call me sometime tomorow after the trade and i'll be home.

So by asking for their number first, it makes them feel like you're looking for a safe trade too.

Hope this has been helpful (don't deny it....it has been to some people :P. Otherwise you wouldn't have asked me about it :P)

One thing that I said before that totally handled it was "Sorry man, my phone is actually out of minutes" and then they ask if I'll go on vent, so I go in vent and tell them I don't have a mic and just let them talk, works well.
"Just say no" prevents teenage pregnancy the way 'Have a nice day' cures chronic depression.

Nice, I think the way of asking for their number first ("if anything goes wrong") is the best way of doing it.

Thats some good excuses there, but one thing I don't get is that why do we scammers avoid phone convos? Just do *67 to hide your phone number, and not like they going to call ninjas to your house.
