"The Lick King" and Arfus Pet Decrypted on Retail WoW

A new Feat of Strength achievement and the Arfus Pet have now been decrypted in Retail WoW!

The Arfus Pet has now been decrypted on live servers and you can see in your pet journal.



It's unclear exactly how this pet will unlock in Retail WoW as no mention of this has been made by Blizzard. The only mention of Arfus is on the 3.4.3 PTR development notes which mentions how to get it in Wrath Classic but not retail.

Datamining has revealed that the Retail Arfus pet drops from the Headless Horseman in Scarlet Monastery!

Arfus has been datamined on the PTR with the drop location listed as:

Drop: Headless Horseman
Zone: Scarlet Monastery
There must always be a Lick King.

It's unclear at the moment why the related Feat of Strength achievement The Lick King is listed under Feat of Strength -> Promotions then.
