Safely store Gold

I wasn't sure where this should be posted so I figured the general forums would be a safe bet.

I work the Auction house everyday, having a High lvl jewelcrafter I buy raw gems, cut them, and repost for anywhere from 5 to 40g profit. I've amassed quite the little cash cow and feel paranoid of having it all on one account. I found this little trick to help save and safeguard goold you don't want to spend.

A guildie of mine who quit sometime ago (year +) came back a months ago on a trial account, he got invited to guild, played his new lock to 10 and promptly quit again. The Toon stayed in guild and has been sitting there unused.

OK.. long story short (too late?)
Send Gold to an unused account and it will sit there in limbo for one month and then it will be sent back to you. Could be very usefull for people who rent out accounts to gold farmers/character levelers who don't want to risk getting scammed out of there hard earned (read: bought) Gold.

Hopefully this helps some people out there :wave:

Added: this is really only useful to people who only have one account >< and obviously you can start your own trial account to make it an even safe place to stash gold.

I'm confused here. If he came back on a trial account and lvled to 10 then wouldnt it still be a trial account? If thats so you cant get mail or join guilds, but I'm not saying your wrong here he very well may have purchased the account and paid for everything just to hit lvl 10 with the intention of 70.

Either way good idea for keeping your major stash in hiding every 30 days

And a trial account is not able to do any trade if I am right... but if you have got an friend who you can trust you can give him/her the gold

Clever, but be careful.

If you send this to someone you think is inactive and they login... well it's going to suck.

Or, if the player decides to come back and activate that trial account, etc.

This no longer works. After the 30 days the stuff you sent will get deleted. only CoD get returned now.
