I open a ticket, I was getting spammed, harrassed and i get Bungutosh.

Hey Bungutosh how's it going, we talk, he seems angrier than most gm's...

So I report this guy for making a comment about my mother repeatedly in spam (yeah he was a dick, deserved it, he crossed the line) I get caught for saying the f word to him.

I am banned, permenantly, he didn't have his profanity filter on, and I get banned.

Thanks Blizzard, I'm glad you let the ****ing scum of the earth work in your company.

All you have to do it call them and say you got banned because someone was spamming YOU and he banned you for saying the word...use your profanity filter...its what it is there for....they can fire him for it...they have to go by warning first..

Hello,

My account name is ******, character name ************. Last night another player said a comment about my mother in the arena, sure there is trash talking but he crossed the line, so I figured I’d report him. The arena game I played with this hunter, we ended up losing. The next battle I had the same partener, and being a little ticked off from the previous match I said “they were ****ing scrubz last game”. I see how this is not the most pleasing comment, he just says okay. Well I end up talking to <GM> Bungutosh, he didn’t seem like most gm’s, just said the standard, barely wanted to know you, talk to you or cared about your problems. In turn I responded with short answers seeing as this guy obviously did not want to talk. I told him the time, player name and realm name of my comment, I didn’t want anything to happen to the hunter other than an e-mail saying “Please refrain from vulgar comments…”. I am disconnected 5 minutes later, I assume its server trouble when I log back on I get the message “This account has been closed and is no longer available for use please visit http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/misc/banned.html”. Wow, is all I can say, I’m speechless I haven’t engaged in any activities that are harmful to the world of warcraft in over 6 months. I wait for over half an hour for an e-mail, and I get one from Bungutosh outlining the ***Account Review***, I am banned for 72 hours pending account closure. I’ve read the e-mail literally 30 times, I have been banned for swearing. This is a copy of the email I received:

Now, I’m wondering how this can happen? A player who just renewed his subscription last night, a player who has raided for over 6 months is permanently banned over swearing. The game does have a profanity filter and there is much worse content floating around, plus a comment like that doesn’t seem to bad, you’re in an arena, you trash talk they trash talk, and you comment on it to your teammate who ends up agreeing with you. Not a single person appeared offended. I’m pretty much speechless right now, a <GM> Blizzard employee, most likely with at least 1 60, a part of the raiding community, is willing to take that all away from someone over cussing. Say bye, bye to 70+ days played and countless RL and online friends. I will be calling the Support line, in hopes to have my account reinstated after the 72 hour suspension.

All I can say is I’m surprised at what has happened and I hope this is a mistake. I feel like I’ve just been stripped of my favourite pastime, and countless friends. I no longer have means of communication other than vent, and yeah, its not depressing at all being in a vent PvP channel listening to a bunch of players have fun while you can just sit there thinking.. “Runescape?”. The game blizzard has created is one of the best around today, it is probably the most fun I’ve had playing video games for a long time, and in my defense I was angry that I lost in the arena. I’m 15, yeah I’ll say some bad stuff but this is a game, and I don’t think it should just be taken away like this.

I hope you understand, and can maybe see that Bungutosh overreacted.
