Hunter Advice

Im lvl 49 Hunter. My pet is a tiger and to be honest dont like its looks.
Now with the new patch, is there a ultra solo pet? I have managed to get my cats powers up to 7 (bite, growl, claw) and dash rank 1

Im in a hurry to 60 so i can join raiding. So i put it to you, at lvl 49 whats a respectable pet to have?

Hey i dont even know if im using the correct order or powers(advice here if you can)

Additionaly how many hours should lvl 50-60 take? im trying to follow that joana guide, but is it realy that good?

I saved my gold and purchased a bow called Huricain (sp) And now i have 10g to my name. Is farming low level instances for greens that good?

I have also noticed that low level instances Bosses dont drop blues

I would apreciate all the advice a knowegable hunter can give me.

OK if i were you i would go out and tame a boar. They have a charge ability which is pretty good at ataining aggro and they are good at tanking. Also good for PVP. And since your a hunter you could easily get money from skinning. (if you dont have it i would strongly suggest getting it).

Well at 49 now you can get a snake from ZF. I grabbed a ZG Adder after 2.0 went live and they freakin rock. The thing has a 1.4 AS (which isn't great but good) and its armor is above 5k, with a DPs of 83. Now of course the ZF snake will be lower than that being the Adder is a 60 pet, but Hunters now have a nice alternative pet to get before the expansion comes out. The racial ability the snakes have is Poison Spit rank 1-3. Of course the Adder had 3 so I am not to sure where 1 and 2 are, but I will scout it out once I am done with PvP gear that I want. This Poison Spit is kind of lame but with other Hunters it stacks and it also prevents Rogues from stealthing.

Now as far as your issue with leveling and such. At 49 a good place to go would be SM or RFD. At 50 I was running ppl through RFD and a fair amount of blues drop From there. Including a nice mail chest piece that would fit a Hunter off the last boss. ZF is a nice place since you are going to maybe head there for a snake pet. I stayed in Tanaris to grind from like 49-53. then from there I went to Scholomance/Stratholme with my guildies and I also ground XP and AD rep up in WPL/EPL.
