How to create a free guildsite

So im getting a few PM's off people asking if i could make a guild site for them. Simple asnwer...NO!

But i can however, show you how to make one.
This tutorial is going to be half Text and half video. Will show you where to host it, how to build it and some good tools for it.
Currently in the process of making it so hang tight.

Anyone got any suggestions for it?

wouldn't it be better to point them to a tutorial for html (and/or php/asp)? That's what you'll need to know. And if you know that you can make any type of site, doesn't matter if it's a guildsite

You should use Camtasia for the recording.
Really nice program and is good quality.. just takes some space on ur pc.

so w8, if u actually are wondering how to make a site, it is easiest to use a pre made one (Guildportal.com is m favorite). This will make a u a decently customizable free website.*Also if u guild reall needs a more customizable website buying their membership thing is worth it*. If u really, really want a fully custom website it would be best to go to a bookstore, Snatch the ''Making a website: for dummies'' book, and go hide in a corner and read it b4 any1 sees u. I think it mainly consists of going to staples or something and buying a little CD with a site making program or sumthing, dont ask me i just remember my bro making a website once upon a time. the best way to learn a website is not by reading a book i can assure you. I have vast knowledge of making websites and i have never spent a penny on sofwate or tutorials. the best way to learn is either watch someone do it or set yourself a project and work up on it.

In my opinion Marlo is correct. I use a few reference guides as I program (HTML, Oracle, SQL, and a couple other old languages). Most good programs follow the KISS method (Keep It Simple, Stupid).
Web pages should do the same. I always rough out what I want on paper before I start coding. Easier to find and fix problems then. After it's roughed out, I will start assembling the basics like the backgrounds, frames and any other element that will be used on most of the pages. I use this as my template and fill in the details for each page.
If you want to use scripts or like items, you can usually google for an example. Make a few modifications, and you have something that is yours. As you write your pages, keep a backup of each as you make changes. It's easier to roll-back to an earlier version than re-create from scratch when something doesn't work.

Yeh KISS method basicly can be applied for everything. The only complicated thing i do it when i do MySQL work then i have loads of things running like Dreamweaver, Wamp, MySQL query manager.
