That's obviously fake.
Blizzard has all of your information, your full credit card number and everything that asks.
roflmao, tis is fake indeed.
I'd probaly just call them up, cant be to careful imo
ROFL... guys that is a real blizzard email address.... it's the email of the person who either you called or a gm from in-game, or just someone who was assigned to help you... please note their email address is @blizzard.com... a scammer would not be able to have that email address..... i was emailed one time by [email protected], and it wasnt some scammer. and also, the automated email IS NOT [email protected]... IT IS [email protected]
Just forward it to Blizz, they'll tell you if it's real.
Looks scetchy as your account has all the adress information on it.
What I think is going on is something really clever, basically, someone having access to a photo of your ID, your personal info, your wow acc name AND your wow cd-key can just send an email to blizzard stating "their" account got hacked, supply the cd-key "you" sent them, supply the photo ID as they don't know the SQA, and blam, you just got wtfpwned.
Only one way to be completely sure mate:
Phone Blizzard direct and ask them.
V
(ps - sorry for stating the obvious)
What if everything around you isn't quite as it seems? What if all the world you think you know is an elaborate dream?
OR OR OR OR?
You could hit "Show details" and see which pop3 server it was sent from.... Only thing the phishers cant hide![]()
Cant believe no1 mentioned that.
The most obvious thing here is that when you join, somewhere it reads"
"A blizzard representative will NEVER ask you for your account information via email, or in game chat."
Alcoholism is a disease but it's the only the disease you can get yelled at for having. Damnit Otto you're an alcoholic. Damnit Otto you have lupus. One of these doesn't sound right.
Anyways, I think all of us has come to the conclusion that it's fake.
They don't ask for you adress or anything like that, all they ask for then retrieving a hacked acc/changing SQA cause you dont know it is:
Full Name
Cd-key
SQA
And as you dont know the SQA you'd need to attach a digital image of your ID/Driver's License. And that's basically it, they msot certainly dont ask what you three highest level chars are, this is just so the phishers and scammers know if it's any worth to them using the acc.
A blizzard dude will NEVER ask for a password or account name, they got it all stored somewhere, do never believe in mail requesting username password.
