Lets say you've found out how to generate gold in WoW, why would you advertise it?

When you and your company would have found out how to bypass certain mechanics in WoW and get behind the function that allows for currency to be generated, why would advertise this on youtube or other platforms and sell it as "Wow Gold Dupe"? Clearly you would then generate gold and sell it directly. "Alex Stroe" the individual behind legionexploits(dot)com and videos on youtube such as (Dupe - Patch 7.1.0) WoW Gold Exploit/Item restoration [Gold cap in Legion] - YouTube is doing this. Why would you advertise it, if it would work and not generate it yourself and sell it right away? To me, the only impulse I have, when discovering anything game-breaking always was, to freely share it. Share the cool feeling that comes with. And then *boom* see it break because either it gets shut down or over-used.

When you would have all the tools to make infinite gold and thus RL-money for yourself, why would ever Ever advertise it, to allow those whose account then is altered by the mechanics they apparently use, possibly generate endlessly themselves?

I am well aware that there is a whole.. Universe! that is beyond our logic understanding, but this here

I'd be really interested if a heart/mind here could share his/her feelings and findings how someone would legitimately do this and is not a complete fake and a rip-off. Can someone contribute some aspects of his/her own past where he/she was in a similar place? I am really not interest in generic "Yeeah, totally fake dude"

You advertise it when you're unable to see the potential / don't have the resources, knowledge or contacts to exploit it safely.

TL;DR: There's no really good reason to, unless you want to help the game company.
